NoRedol Skincare Line

Ladies (and gentlemen,) I was recently introduced to this skincare line NoRedol, by Cinna Health Products. A friend had a lot of great things to say about this line, so I absolutely had to try them out for myself, especially being someone who struggles all the time with my skin problems. Below, you'll find photos and loads of useful information about the skincare line NoRedol, my brand new love!

What Noredol Does:

Noredol Rejuvenation Antioxidant Gel for Oily Skin works to reduce redness, blemishes and enlarged pores -- three things I sometimes have a struggle with.

Noredol Rejuvenation also accelerates natural rejuvenation with a balance formula (Noredol) and antioxidants.

Reduces redness, including rosacea. The Rejuvenation Antioxidant gel can be applied to skin 2-4 times daily.

Ingredients:

Water, Noredol (1,4-cyclohexanediol), panthenol, riboflavin, Retinol Acetate, odorless garlic extract, glycerin vanillin, , sodium ferulate, potassium sorbate, oleyl alcohol, inositol, zinc chloride, adenosine, EDTA, carbomer sodium salt.

*Note: The Noredol Rejuvenation for oily skin contains  slightly different ingredients. For instance, this one (for oily skin) contains retinol acetate and glycerin vanillin, whereas the others do not. The rest of the ingredients are all found in each of the Noredol products, though. This means, whether you've got oily, dry or other skin, you don't have to sacrifice effective ingredients for the product that fits your skin type.

Why I Love Noredol Products:

  •  Cinna Health Products, a division of Molecular Research Center, Inc. promotes research and sales of new products for sensitive skin, based on natural compounds. P.S. You can read more in-depth about Cinna Health and their biotechnology and all that awesome stuff here.

  • And you can't help but love that Cinna Health Products are clinically tested and safe for use.

  •  Doesn't interfere with makeup! I can apply any Noredol product and it absorbs quickly, and then apply my makeup soon after without it ever being noticeable. Some skincare products can't be used under makeup because they can interfere with it causing the makeup to roll off your skin or leaving you with foundation streaks. This often happens to me when I use certain moisturizers and gels under makeup. If anything, I think Noredol helps my foundation look smoother!

  • The Noredol for Oily Skin is, in my opinion a must for people like me who have an oily T-zone that's made worse after applying makeup. I usually have to use a lot of powder on my oily T-zone area, but lately, I've been applying Noredol (for oily skin) prior to my makeup and it lessens the shiny look on my forehead so much that I don't need near as much powder!

  • Contains no fragrance.

  •  Contains aloe vera, which is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Aloe vera is also very, very soothing for skin, and has a multitude of benefits including healing properties for broken, inflamed and aging skin.

  • Is truly effective and soothing. And of course I love that it leaves no residue behind.

  • Contains garlic extract, which has skin-smoothing capabilities. Also, garlic is a natural anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and has anti-aging properties! It prevents infection, helps skin keep elasticity and contains selenium.

Look closely and you can see the gel -- a nice, thick, clear gel that goes on smoothly and is absorbed by the skin rather than sitting on top of it:

And if you don't have particularly oily skin, Cinna Healthcare also has a Noredol Rejuvenation Antioxidant Gel -- just the regular, not the one specifically for oily skin...

Say you don't have oily skin, but you do have dry skin, Cinna has you covered there, too!

This one is the Noredol Rejuvenation Antioxidant Gel for Dry skin:

                What it Does:

Noredol for dry skin and Noredol Antioxidant Rejuvenation reduces blemishes and redness. The difference between it and the others is that it  helps reduce breakouts.

Like the other Noredol products, it calms irritation in sensitive skin.

Noredol for dry skin is also helpful for those with rosacea and acne. It's a soothing, gentle gel that relieves dry, irritated skin in both men and women.

                                                          This one's also a gel

Noredol products go on easily, without any residue left behind. As you guys know, I notice even the tiniest residue left over when I use skincare or body lotion products. I'm totally impressed with Noredol's true no-residue! It is very well absorbed by the skin and doesn't leave any stickiness or shiny appearance.

The Noredol for dry skin can be applied 2-4 times a day, and again, like the other Noredol products, it can be use under makeup without affecting its appearance or application.

If you look closely, you can see the actual gel:
Ingredients:
Water, Noredol (1,4-cyclohexanediol), glycerin, riboflavin, panthenol, inositol, odorless garlic extract, aloe vera extract, potassium sorbate, sodium ferulate, zinc chloride, EDTA, carbomer sodium salt.

Cinna Health Products also have a Noredol with Ginseng:

This Skin Renewal Serum with Ginseng stimulates natural renewal with Noredol protective antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients.

The Noredol Skin Renewal Serum with Ginseng is great for maximum relief for oily skin, skin stressed with age, redness, enlarged pores and blemishes.

The great thing about the Noredol products, as I said previously is that they all are effective in preventing/helping redness, enlarged pores and blemishes, but you can choose which product is best for your skin type -- oily, dry, aging, etc. This is one thing I love about the Noredol products.

Ginseng's phytonutrient properties works with Noredol, Vitamin A, Vitamin K to protect, enhance and preserve skin.

Noredol Skin Renewal Serum can be applied 1-3 times daily.

Ingredients:
Water, Noredol  (1,4-cyclohexanediol), panthenol, riboflavin, retinol acetate (an antioxidant), phytonadione, ginseng extract, odorless garlic extract, aloe vera extract, glycerin, vanillin, sodium ferulate, potassium sorbate, oleyl alcohol, inositol, zinc chloride, adenosine, EDTA, carbomer sodium salt.

The Skin Renewal Serum with Ginseng is closest to the antioxidant Rejuvenation Gel, ingredient-wise. I really like the one with Ginseng, though because I tend to have an oily forehead, so this is a God-send!

And a Noredol Skin Renewal Serum with Green Tea Extract:

The Noredol Skin Renewal Serum is good for providing maximum relief for dry skin.

Ingredients:

Water, Noredol  (1,4-cyclohexanediol), glycerin, allantoin, riboflavin, panthenol, inositol, green tea extract, odorless garlic extract, aloe vera extract, zinc chloride, , EDTA,
potassium sorbate, sodium ferulate,  carbomer sodium salt.

I love the Noredol Skin Renewal Serum with Green Tea Extract as much as I love the rest of the Noredol Products. I especially like using this one and the Ginseng one when I have a "flare up" of breakouts, extra dry spots, etc.  They're really great about providing quick, heavy-duty relief.

More amazing stuff about Cinna Health Products:

  • Cinna Health Products was established by Dr. Piotr Chomczynski -- who holds 7 patents in bio-chemistry -- (and developed for his own use) to promote research of new products for sensitive skin based on natural compounds.

  • Dr. Piotr Chomczynski ranked 17th among scientists in the world for the most influential work in the past 20 years.

  • 10,000 and counting care packages are sent to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pearl Of The Day: Naturopathica Pumpkin Enzyme Peel

If Pumpkin Pie is your favorite warm, comforting and delicious scent, then you’re going to be just as delighted as I was to try a Pumpkin Pie Enzyme Peel for your face.  As much as I adore this pumpkin facial peel (and not only because it smells tasty), there’s only one problem, I crave pumpkin pie every time!

Okay, guys, another skincare “fad” recently has been pumpkin, mostly due to the enzymes in pumpkins and well, enzymes are good for skin. So I was beyond pleased to get my hands on Naturopathica’s amazing Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel, even more pleased after using the stuff.

So, what does it do?
The pumpkin Enzyme Peel is good for normal to oily skin. I have combination and one of my favorite things about this peel is that it’s literally the only thing that has not dried my skin out! I was able to leave it on well over the 3-5 minute recommendation without an dryness. It actually seemed like it may have hydrated my skin somewhat.

The active ingredients in the Pumpkin Enzyme Peel include: Pumpkin, Cinnamon Bark, Pumpkin Enzymes, Oregano and Rosemary Extract.

These are all very beneficial for skin. The Pumpkin is good for exfoliation, has anti-oxidant properties and is a mild retinoic acid substitute.

The Pumpkin Enzymes work to break down and remove dead skin cells. This is what leaves you with such smooth skin.

Cinnamon bark, Oregano and Rosemary have anti-septic properties.

Full ingredient List:
Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin), Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Wine, Lactobacillus/Pumpkin Ferment Extract, Lactic Acid (L), Glycerin, Aqua/Water/Eau, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum (Cinnamon) Bark Extract, Origanum Vulgare (Oregano) Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Flower/Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal) Root Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Ginger Oil, Potassium Sorbate.

As you would expect the Pumpkin Enzyme Peel is a bright orange color and looks very much like the innards of a pumpkin pie. Smells a lot like one, too, which just makes the experience even more lovely. I will have to apologize for not taking a photo of the actual Peel. I guess I got carried away once I opened the sample packet.

Results:
I was able to get two uses out of Naturopathica’s Pumpkin Enzyme sample packet. And believe me, I used every last bit of the stuff. As I was showering a few minutes ago, I found myself tearing the packet open just to get the very last bits of the Pumpkin Peel that was stuck in the corners of the packet. No way was I tossing that packet with any of the stuff left over.

Not only am I in heaven over the smell of Naturopathica’sPumpkin Enzyme Peel, but I’m also pretty happy with the results I seen from using the sample. Here’s how I’d describe them:

Clean, smooth and fresh looking skin. And I’m being serious. I noticed a very big difference in the texture of my skin, which is something a lot of products have claimed to do – enhance skin’s “texture.” I’ll have to say, I never quite knew what that meant… or what it was like to actually experience those claims until I used this Pumpkin Enzyme Peel.

The Pumpkin Enzyme Peel would likely be very beneficial for acne and other inflammation of the skin. I can’t say I totally noticed a change in acne, but if I continued using the product, I would certainly think it could benefit blemishes. I noticed that a slight spot on my cheek that I’ve had from acne in the past seemed to look a lot less noticeable. Mostly, I noticed my skin had a lovelier appearance, in general. A really clean, super smooth appearance as well as minimized pore size. Putting my makeup on was a different experience than what  I am used to – everything was so smooth! Not just to the touch, but it looks incredibly smooth, if this makes sense.

It’s also possible that the Pumpkin Enzyme Peel did contribute to my face not breaking out the very day after going crazy poking and prodding at tiny bumps. I often get to picking and always end up with a big red bump in the area I had been picking the very next day. I’m thinking the Pumpkin Peel could’ve been part of what prevented the crazed red bumps from my crazed night of picking.

These things, folks, are why Naturopathica's Pumpkin Enzyme Peel is my Pearl of The Day. Even if it has had me looking up pumpkin pie drink recipes lately. I think I'll have to try this one before I die of pumpkin desire. P.S. consuming pumpkin is good for your skin, too!

As for the Vitamin C Revitalizing Complex and the Plant Stem Cell Serum, I'm very fond of those as well. The Vitamin C Revitalizing Complex  contains antioxidants, Vitamin A, C and E, and Kudzu. The ingredients are designed to reduce the signs of aging.

The impressive active ingredients in the Vitamin C Revitalizing Complex are:

Vitamin C: Ascorbic Acid Polypeptide and Ascorbyl Palmitate are combined in a liposome delivery system for increased penetration and stability to inhibit free radical damage.

The Vitamin C serum goes on clear, smooth and doesn't leave this funny-feeling almost sticky and shiny residue left behind on my skin, as most "serums" have done in the past. My skin feels nice, smooth and looks good.

The Plant Stem Cell Serum -- also great about going on without leaving visible residue behind -- also contains antioxidants. Along with it, butterfly bush to protect skin from harmful UV damage. Echinacea is a key ingredient that improves collagen synthesis -- to reduce wrinkles.

The results are smooth, firm, soft, glowing skin

All three are very effective and have some of the most amazing ingredients I've ever seen as far as effeciacy goes in skincare products. Very, very impressive.

Reasons to Love Naturopathica Products:
-          Barbara Close, a clinical esthetician, aromatherapist and herbalist created the company Naturopathica.  Naturopathica uses high-performance, natural and active skin care ingredients that are proven effective, non-irritating and 100% good for the skin.
-Naturopathica products are never tested on animals.

-Naturopathica uses a holistic (the best, in my opinion) approach to skincare.

My Pearl Of The Day -- fun water beads!

Gallon of water & the tiny beads -- the supplies in green basket are NOT needed. They just happened to be on my desk during the process.

WHAT ARE WATER BEADS USED FOR?
Thanks to Crystal Water Beads for including so much wonderful information, I can answer that question for you. It's always interesting to me to learn about a companies product, especially when the product is as cool as the water beads!

This is a photo of the bottom of the water jug immediately after putting in the beads! How awesome does that look?

The Water Beads were originally invented for farmers -- to keep moisture from evaporating from the soil so quickly.

Water Beads are super tiny when they haven't been submersed in water. When they arrive, they're about the size of a pin-head. Very small! Ok, about the size of a flea too, a small flea.  Once they've been soaked in the water, they absorb it and plump up.  These guys, as you see the difference in size in my photos, hold a lot of water! They start out tiny and then suddenly you look in the container and you have plump, beautiful beads!

Then the Crystal Water Beads can be poured into your plants soil and there they will slowly release their water, doing so without the water getting evaporated into the air! That's what makes these cuties ideal for plants. I have 3 aloe plants, as ya'll know, I eat them, so it's important to keep those guys healthy. Aloe needs very little water and the Crystal Water Beads are absolutely perfect for watering just enough, without overdoing it. Plus they really add some style to my plants.

And who doesn't want to show off their beautiful water beads? Well, I certainly do, so I've managed to dig up a pretty clear jar to show them off, for decorative purposes! Going to the Crystal Water Beads store site will give you many gorgeous ideas on ways to use and show off your fabulous Crystal Water Beads.

The only problem is, now I'm wanting to fill all kinds of vases full of the gorgeous little guys and display them in every single room, on every single table top and dresser we have! They're just so pretty I can't resist.

Another wonderful thing about these beads -- you can choose so many different lovely colors, so you're color options and decorative personality never gets old. You can mix pink with black, purple with pink like I did and change them to match the room colors/theme or to even add some fun, unique touch to a boring room. They look pretty in flower vases or just sitting alone in a clear glass vase/bottle. Since they're so pretty, they don't necessarily need anything extra. Just a jar of the beauties is enough to add personality and a unique touch.

INSTRUCTIONS:

This is the best part about the water beads -- it's easy, quick and makes no mess. This makes it a perfect little project to include kids on. They'll enjoy watching the water beads "grow." Ours love, love, love the water beads!  Oh yea, the instructions.

*Add contents of package to 5 cups of room temperature purified water -- Not filtered or spring -- per 5 grams of beads.

*Allow the beads to stand in the water for 5-7 hours.  For the Marble Beads, allow 6-8 hours and for the Square Beads, allow 8-10 hours. You'll see a photos of the round regular Water Beads and the Square ones here. Those are the type I chose, but I think we'll end up ordering the others here very soon. I will update and show photos of those when we order.

*After the recommended amount of time has passed, drain the water and use as desired!

Why must it be purified water only?
Using any other water could result in the bead not plumping. In other words, your beads may not "grow" if you don't use the recommended purified water.

OH NO! I don't know what purified water is or where to find it.
It's OK. I promise. You can find purified water at about any grocery store and possibly even convenient stores, but don't hold me to that last one. If you've ever bottle-fed a baby or bought a new fish tank, chances are, you have purchased purified water from a store. You can usually find it in the diaper section. Or at least that's where it's at in my local Ingles. Just look for the gallon clear jug of water that will say "purified water" on the front.

STORING AND CARING FOR YOUR LOVELY WATER BEADS
    Crystal Water Beads.com says:
To store the beads, remove them from water. Accelerate dehydration by spreading them out on a dry towel in the open air and out of a humid environment.  Once they are fully dehydrated and close to their original size, seal them in a air tight container such as Tupperware or Zip Lock.

For extended life, keep them out of direct sunlight and away from temperatures above 85 degrees F while storing. "

The Water Beads come packaged in a little sealed plastic baggy. Well, the samples do. I don't know about a full size. I believe the large, full sizes come in a large plastic bag. Included is a little paper with instructions and this:

  "CAUTION:
  • Do not take internally.  Keep out of reach of children and pets.  Although this product is non-toxic, it may present a choking hazard for children.
  • Do not flush down drains.
  • For decorative use only."
  •

Crystal Water Beads store also has an amazing project going on called the Beads Grow Seeds Project! It's so awesome. Here's an excerpt about the project straight from their webpage:

"The Beads Grow Seeds Projects is focused on providing Super Absorbent Polymer for Village farmers to use in the soil for a better success rate in their crops.

When a customer buys our product or makes a donation, we use these funds to purchase Super Absorbent Polymer. We will take this product to the troubled soil area's around the world and work with the locals to install the product.
When added to the soil, plant roots grow around and through the swollen polymer, where they are able to extract the stored water and nutrients. The controlled release of water and nutrients aids plants in achieving optimal moisture conditions for maximum plant growth.
With severe droughts occurring on a more frequent basis due to global warming, water absorbing polymers will help food sources survive by reducing irrigation requirements up to 50%. This product will continue to work in the soil for up to 8 years.

*Clicking the link there will take you to their Beads Grow Seeds page, so that you can go see for yourself.

The prices at Crystal Water Beads Store are so perfectly affordable that you can order beads for every event, every plant, or as I think I'll end up doing, for every single room in your house! They're amazing! As soon as we were pouring our beads into the water, my lovie said "how much are these things? I want more!"  Looks like I'm not the only fan. Who can blame us? They're so fun!

My PeArL of the day - A lovely sunflower body wash

                   ~SUNFLOWER BODY WASH~

As you may have read in my previous post, I've been reviewing & loving the Miessence bath and body product. Today, my PeArL of the day is the Sunflower Body Wash.

With the first sniff, I thought it smelled just like lemon meringue, I took another sniff & it smelled like lime, and another sniff I kind of got a light vanilla smell. It smelled so good! As I got to reading the back label on the body wash, I saw that there is lemon and lime peels in the ingredients. I guess that's why I was smelling the lemon and lime. I loved the scent.

                                               TEXTURE

The Sunflower Body Wash is a kind of thick texture, very creamy. Like most of their wonderful items, I can stick my finger in the liquid and pull it right out without anything dripping off. Just a few small drops is enough to clean your whole body so I can see it lasting a good while. I like the light silky texture of it. I like even more that it's very good for your skin, mine soaks everything up and I can see a difference in how my skin looks.

DOWN TO THE BASICS:

PROS:

- The Sunflower Body Wash smells great.
- It gets you clean.
- Vegan product.
- Safe for babies/children.
- Contains no chemical ingredients.
- It has a pretty silk texture when rubbing on skin.
- Leaves skin so soft and healthy.
- The Sunflower Body Wash (as well as the other products combined) has rejuvenated and livened my skin up in a way that I didn't know was possible.
- Brings out a beautiful glow all over body.
- I thought the body wash was extremely hydrating! I really love how hydrating their products are. I'm like a new person, with new skin and all!
- All of my dry, irritated, blotchy, red, inflamed area have totally been relieved and I show no signs of them at all!

TIPS:
After using the Sunflower Body wash, I used the Body Milk (you can read about it in my previous Miessence posts) With the Body Milk applied immediately after my shower and after using the Body Wash, my skin felt like velvet! It also made my hands feel wonderful!

Overall, I totally love it. No cons. Nothing at all negative about the product. I would absolutely recommend it to anybody with any skin type, including children. These are all my own opinions and I believe that the products are made with some of the most amazing ingredients.

Be sure to check them out here. To find this Sunflower Wash click here. Have any of you lovies tried any of their products before? If so let me know which is your favorites! If you haven't used them before, I really hope you decide to. I wish I could put in words how amazing they all are. There's so much care and hard work put into each and every product. I would love to hear y'all's opinions too!

My beautiful readers, this is my PeArL of the day, this one isn't as, should I say rough as my last one. This is the very lovely Therapist's Secret Facial Oil from The Sanctuary.

With it's mixture of pure oils such as sun flower, jojoba, and wheat germ oil, The Sanctuary has a beautiful product in this one. It's perfect for all skin types. I know you see "oil" and think uh-oh, break-out central! Not at all. The Therapist's secret oil is designed to provide plumping and rejuvenation. It's described by The Sanctuary as "skin's superfood." I can't say they're wrong about that one. It has worked some wonders on mine.

LET'S GET DOWN TO THE DETAILS:

The oil can be used day or night. When I first got it, my face was both tanning bed burned & wind chapped or burned whatever you want to call it. I'd spent a toasty 20 minutes in a new tanning bed the night before & several hours later that night in the blistering cold, at my nephews ball game. So my skin was at it's absolute worst. I also had a hefty monthy bump on my nose! It was one of those horrible hard ones that are tremendously painful.

I used the oil after showering that night & the unbelievable dry, burned and chapped skin was 100% cleared, the redness gone, & only 2 days later that awful bump had totally vanished! Those bumps usually last for around 2 weeks. It never even came up, it seems the oil totally got rid of it.

I've now been using the oil for a couple of weeks I'd say & I've noticed a pretty big difference in my skin. It is very plump & extremely glow-y. I haven't had to use as much make-up & it just looks great!

                               WHAT IT DOES:

- Gives me gorgeous, glow-y skin.

-Seems to have cleared & prevented ALL blemishes, acne, & breakouts of all sort. I've not had a single one.

-Hydrates like a miracle.

-Plumps skin all over.

-Reduces signs of aging.

On the packaging it says you can use the oil alone or with a moisturizer to get extra plumping and glowing effects. I did both. The first use, I used it alone. & Then I started using it mixed with my moisturizer from california body care & there was a huge difference. It looks beautiful!

The only CON about the Therapist's Secret Oil & it was that it did leave my face looking very shiny & oily. It didn't feel oily, but to the touch it did & it looked so shiny, but that's to be expected with any oil & just a tiny swipe of powder or any make-up, bronzer, etc takes care of it while your skin still reaps the benefits of the oil. You can also use on of those oil reducing sheets on your face to wipe away the shiny look while still getting the benefits of the oil.

Overall, I'd give it a 10. It's really a great facial oil. I've had much less trouble with my skin and a lot less work to do to it as well.

*Have you tried this one or any others from The Sanctuary? If so please do let me know what your thoughts are. I'm dying to try more of their products, but I'm a little stuck as to which I'd like best. Let me know you're fav's & be sure to check out the oil as well.*

Much love my beauties,
