My Pearl Of The Day - Shunga!

 

My precious readers, I have something amazing to share with y'all. Ready?

 The cute little tin can you see in the photo is Shunga's Lotus Flower Oriental Bath Crystals. These are not your typical bath salts! 

This lovely set includes a pound and a half tin full of green crystals, a sea shell for scooping them out and a scented floating candle. 

If you look at the picture, you can see a little charm dangling from a red ribbon. The charm dangles outside the lid so you can wiggle it around and pop the lid off. When you're done, you can reaseal it! That little extra detail was so neat to me. 

In the photo above you can see the cande sitting in the sea shell and the charm with ribbon used to open the tin and the green crystals safely put in a plastic bag so there's no chances of spilling. The bag is secured and once it's in your posession, you can untie it and dump the crystals in your tin. Lovely tin!

I opened the tin and wow! The Lotus Flower scent was there and a little strong. I prepared for a migraine and some seriously irritated allergies. Not because it smelled bad, but because it was very scented and usually anything like this will tear my sinuses up. I loved the scent though so I had to risk it. I let it sit out on my dresser, lid off to lightly scent the house. I had already gotten some medicine for a migraine I was sure would pop up. To my surprise, it never happened! I didn't sneeze, my nose didn't tickle. Nothing. Nothing, but the most pleasant, relaxing and clean scent!

I am still shocked that this was so gentle on my sinuses, especially since I already have a cold right now. I took a bath with them and I actually keep them open in my room for the nice scent! 

The scent is clean, kind of like the linen scent, but it smells of much better quality than those candles you buy. To my sensitive nose, It's kind of strong when I sniff it directly, but it's not over powering any. It's a little perfumey. The candle smells the same and it's just wonderful! Leaving it in my bathroom, the scent will linger subtly throughout the house. This is a great candle to light right after cooking salmon! 

You can use the candle to float in a jacuzzi or anywhere you want just as long as you keep an eye on it. It's a very long lasting candle.

THE BATH CRYSTALS

The lovely green crystals are made with Dead Sea Salt which is amazing for the skin. I use sea salt in a bath, for facial scrubs, food, etc. It's great for healing cuts and stuff. 

Anyways, I've used tons of bath salts and crystals and they've never really been all that great. They're just something that looks nice on a shelf and makes a good, cheap gift. So I wasn't expecting any softening properties or anything more than a scented bath from Shunga's Oriental Bath Crystals. I poured in about a handful and my water turned neon green! That is when I really fell in love. I was just thrilled over that. 

The crystals made my skin instantly feel silky. Once I felt them melting all over me, I was expecting a very oily residue left on me, but they actually left me super soft. The scent doesn't really linger much on my skin which isn't bad and some people would really like that about these.

The Oriental Bath Crystals are amazing! The scent and pretty neon water plus the soothing, soft skin they give you make these the perfect solution to a stressful day... believe me! They're also a nice way to relax when you're sick. 

INGREDIENTS:

Sodium chloride, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, Fragrance, Glycerin, Carthamus tinctorius, Prunus dulcis. 

Pretty nice ingredients! No parabens or nasty, harmful things listed. Glycerin can cause yeast infection to those who are highly prone to them, but a dash of these crystals shouldn't hurt at all. They didn't irritate me in the least. 

The Oriental Bath Crystals aren't something I normally would get all excited about, but they're so darn amazing I can't help but rave about them. Ever since I've gotten some products from Shunga, my mouth does not stop running! Shunga this, Shunga that! Lol. I absolutely adore this company! There's nothing like them!

There's another thing I need to rave about. As you see in my photos of the bath crystals, Shunga does not have vulgar text all over their products packaging and I've never seen nudity. There is a cute cartoonish couple on their packaging, but it's not tacky or distasteful at all. I actually am highly fond of the way they package their products. Shunga is the most unique company. Nothing I've tried is cheap or poorly made. Clearly, there is a great deal of passion in these products and care as well. I guess the name Shunga Erotic Art is suitable! 

With such gorgeous products and artistic packaging, these make the best gifts ever! From now on, the gifts for my family and friends will definitely be Shunga! Can't resist!

Lust Cosmetics Edible Massage oil

Massage oils are ahh-mazing, but edible massage oils are even better. Lucky ole me has the Hot Caramel Cravings edible massage oils from Lust Cosmetics! 

The edible massage oils come in 4 flavors, Wanton Watermelon, Creamsicle, Hot Caramel Cravings and  Cherried Treasure. The Caramel Cravings is delicious and I liked it so much I plan to get Wanton Watermelon and Creamsicle to add to it! B, my love, loves orange creamsicle so that one would be a nice way to get a massage!

I've used a handful of warming oils and lubricants and love the sensations, but have a hard time finding one that has a lot to offer. Lust Cosmetics has an outstanding line of Edible Massage Oils! My favorite warming product to use for massage and such has been the watermelon flavor from Wet for years, but I believe I love Lust Cosmetics' line just as much!

A hot caramel massage is the best! 

When it arrived I had to taste it. I licked a small amount off of my hand and felt a slightly warm sensation with a sweet taste on my tongue.  My partner and I are quite impressed with the taste. It isn't terribly sweet and over powering, but just light enough to be tasted when licked or kissed.

If you've ever used edible oils you may have noticed some leave a nasty taste in the mouth. In fact, most of them do. The Hot Caramel Cravings didn't leave any taste behind, even with a lot of licks and kisses! 

After we tasted a little from the bottle we had to use it. I was the lucky masagee and B was the massager!  A few drops covered my entire back. The clear, lightly flavored oil warms on touch and when he rubbed I could feel a slight warming sensation. It's not intense, not something you'd experience from a heating pad, but it does warm when rubbed. After a few minutes of rubbing it felt sticky and instead of gliding, his hands would drag uncomfortably across my skin. We needed to add several more drops of the Edible Massage oil to continue. 

After the second application I was able to smell it better. It isn't an intense scent, thankfully. But it's light and does smell like caramel. I like the light scent. If you're like me and are sensitive to smells, prone to migraines, this is safe! No worries with the scent becoming a bother. It's just enough to give you a sweet scent. 

When my partner kissed my back the warmth was really noticeable and when he blew on it, closely, it felt wonderful! Blowing on the skin up close seems to really activate the warming. 

The texture is somewhat thick and oily since it is an oil. It's not as thick as vegetable oil and not half as greasy. It does leave some drag and stickyness to the skin, but not terribly. I showered afterwards to keep from getting my bed sticky, but it does absorb into the skin well and quickly. It won't stain clothing or sheets and isn't irritating. After B had covered my back, rear end, chest and stomach, it was absorbed and left my skin extremely soft! I noticed it right away. It looked moisturized and firm. 

Before I showered, I used a warm wet cloth to wipe some off and was surprised at how easy it came off. I worried that it may stay on my skin kind of like vegetable oil would, but it washed off very well. If your entire body is covered like mine was, a quick rinse in the shower is best to make sure it is off, but a wash cloth will take care of a small area.

After showering my skin was still super soft. 

The Edible Massage Oil comes in a 30 ml pump bottle for easy application. The good thing is, the bottle can be laid on the bed beside you without any leaking! The pump makes it super easy to use and really comes in handy when you're hands are slippery and you need to apply more. 

The warming sensation and light sweet scent makes this a perfect massage oil for de-stressing and for a night alone with your partner. We loved using it.

The ingredients in Hot Caramel Cravings as listed on bottle are:

Glycerin, flavor, potassium sorbate,  sodium benzoate.

I'm not sure if that's all the ingredients or not, but I didn't find any of them irritating, only very soothing. I wouldn't recommend using this as a lubricant though, it is a massage oil. It may be ok to use, but it does contain glycerin which can cause yeast infection for those who are prone to them. The ingredient glycerin doesn't usually bother me, but this may also include some sort of sweetener like sugar? Sugar is a major cause of a yeast infection! Sugar should not go near the vagina unless you want to risk that. 

So, for an Edible Massage Oil, it is amazing! The scent, the taste, the texture, just  perfect. It doesn't glide 100% perfectly after a few minutes, but a little extra is all it takes. 

Lust Cosmetics have a beautiful selection of products for a romantic "encounter" or even for solo time. From perfumey lotion to arousing mist to edible oils, they're products are all so intriguing... and delicious! Check them out! 

Also, as you can see in the photo at the top, Lust Cosmetics' packaging is very tasteful, discrete and nice enough for gift giving! I've already been getting ideas for that. I love giving sensual gifts to the special ladies in my life, but it's hard to find any that don't have crude or trashy or just down right disgusting wording and photos all over the packaging. Lust Cosmetics is just perfect! There is a tiny lady in red print with her knees slightly bent. She appears to be wearing lingerie, but it's very tastefully done. Nothing that would scream "SHE USES ME FOR SEX!" Lol. The package may say "edbible massage oil" or "arousing mist" but that's as far as it goes and really nobody would think much of those words, unless you happen to be shopping for grandma! LOL. These product, I don't mind leaving out on my dresser, in the open. I slide the arousing mist behind the massage oil, but they don't draw attention in a sexual way.

My PeArL of the day - A lovely sunflower body wash

                   ~SUNFLOWER BODY WASH~

 As you may have read in my previous post, I've been reviewing & loving the Miessence bath and body product. Today, my PeArL of the day is the Sunflower Body Wash.

 With the first sniff, I thought it smelled just like lemon meringue, I took another sniff & it smelled like lime, and another sniff I kind of got a light vanilla smell. It smelled so good! As I got to reading the back label on the body wash, I saw that there is lemon and lime peels in the ingredients. I guess that's why I was smelling the lemon and lime. I loved the scent.

                                               TEXTURE

 The Sunflower Body Wash is a kind of thick texture, very creamy. Like most of their wonderful items, I can stick my finger in the liquid and pull it right out without anything dripping off. Just a few small drops is enough to clean your whole body so I can see it lasting a good while. I like the light silky texture of it. I like even more that it's very good for your skin, mine soaks everything up and I can see a difference in how my skin looks.

DOWN TO THE BASICS:

- It gets you clean.

- Safe for babies/children.
- Contains no chemical ingredients.
- It has a pretty silk texture when rubbing on skin.
- Leaves skin so soft and healthy.
- The Sunflower Body Wash (as well as the other products combined) has rejuvenated and livened my skin up in a way that I didn't know was possible.
- Brings out a beautiful glow all over body.
- I thought the body wash was extremely hydrating! I really love how hydrating their products are. I'm like a new person, with new skin and all!
- All of my dry, irritated, blotchy, red, inflamed area have totally been relieved and I show no signs of them at all!


TIPS:
After using the Sunflower Body wash, I used the Body Milk (you can read about it in my previous Miessence posts) With the Body Milk applied immediately after my shower and after using the Body Wash, my skin felt like velvet! It also made my hands feel wonderful!

  Overall, I totally love it. No cons. Nothing at all negative about the product. I would absolutely recommend it to anybody with any skin type, including children. These are all my own opinions and I believe that the products are made with some of the most amazing ingredients.

Good Clean Love: I'm in love with the sexy cooling cocoa mint body candy!

 This cocoa mint body candy from http://www.goodcleanlove.com/ adds a bite of cooling sensation & playfulness to your romantic experience.

  This is the body candy gives you a subtle cool sensation, which does add lots of fun! It smells nice, unlike most that leave your body smelling like a vapor chest rub.

                                   HOW TO USE IT
  All you have to do is apply generously anywhere you want kissed! I found the more you applied in an area, the more intense the cooling effect. It wasn't too much though. Kissing or licking the areas it has been applied is what seems to activate the cooling.

                                       WHAT IT DONE FOR ME  
  I really liked it. I thought it made things much hotter. It just adds a little extra, a subtle mint-y cooling. I was really happy with how it was so easy, no need to shower after using! I absolutely hate those types of products that end up ruining your bed sheets, (or dish towel that happens to be lying on the kitchen table - ahem!) & then end up all over your clothing when you get dressed. I loved that this product did not do any of those things. It keeps up well. By looking at it, I didn't expect the little guy to have so much power!

  It's comfortable. Doesn't leave that greasy or thick filmy layer on your body. I also love that it isn't unpleasant to taste. I was almost sure it would be yucky, but it really doesn't cause any nasty taste or irritation. I'm sure it wouldn't be pleasant to take a bite of, but it certainly doesn't hurt to get a little in your mouth... or a whole lot!

  The packaging said the product was not intended for internal use, but being the strange girl that I am, what did I do? Yall know everything has to pass the 'cooter test' with me! lol. It wasn't bothersome or anything. I wouldn't recommend using it as a lube or deliberately using it internally, but I did a tiny bit & there was no problems.

                     WHAT THE BOYFRIEND SAID ABOUT IT
  What did yall think I'd leave that part out? Ha! He said he really liked it! He didn't have any irritation or bad taste from it. He really found rubbing it on then licking & blowing air on it was very entertaining! lol Score for me!

                                           TEXTURE
  I was so glad that the texture was kind of waxy, not greasy & it isn't messy thank God! Who has time to clean up after a messy product? Also it's so frustrating when they get on clothing. This one was great. I had no problem with a mess. It stays in the place where you apply it.

  One thing that really made this company & their products stand out to me was their tastefullness & of course the wonderful product itself. But I loved so much that their online site is clean. I don't have to watch and xxx movie just to purchase from them. It may sound prudish, but those things mean a lot to women such as myself. I think it's amazing that they advertise their products without looking sex crazed.

  That alone gave me more trust in the company & products and it actually is one of the reasons why we made the decision to purchase from there now on. It's nice to have at least one good company around that can sell their items without having to add so much vulgarity. I just thought it really made things nicer.

  With that said, the high quality & the tasteful way they've put up their online store gives me comfort & they will be my first choice when purchasing love products. I think very highly of the company.

All natural Pear Sugar Scrub with organic cane sugar and soy

Quick Overview:

I absolutely love this sugar scrub! I’ve only used one other sugar scrub that did not clog my pores and my razor besides this one. My favorite sugar scrub scent was the Lemongrass Lavender. It’s so calming. It makes a huge difference in how I fall asleep. I use it in the bath right before bed. Talk about relieving stress! One of the worst things is trying to sleep while your head’s consumed with stress. The lavender sugar scrub seemed to put me straight to sleep! (I even skipped the anxiety medication before bed both times I used it!) I could actually throw out my entire skincare regime that I have to apply so heavily just for this sugar scrub! I’ve never used a sugar scrub that polishes your skin and leaves it clean like this. All sugar scrubs I’ve used have left behind a thick oily residue. This pear scrub did not leave film, only my skin’s natural oils. It exfoliates polishes, moisturizes, and scrubs away dead and dull skin leaving the most beautiful, all natural glow. The exact glow that I’ve spent tons of money & time trying to accomplish.

The pear sugar scrub contains shea butter and glycerin to nourish and it will keep your skin glowing and healthy. I know I’m not the only person who’s used a product & had great results only to find they are temporary, such as only lasting for a couple of hours and somehow it seems no matter how much of the same product you use, it never delivers those results you first saw and loved. That’s so disappointing. I caught myself taking peeks at my legs every so often to see if the dry, scaly skin was back & thank God I’ve not seen a single dry patch!

- I can use it on shaved, irritated skin like after my tanning visits and have relief. It won’t irritate skin.

 Natural Grapefruit Ginger Hand Lotion


Quick overview:



For the first time, I am able to say I’ve used a lotion that left completely silky skin with absolutely no greasy, slimy or sticky residue. The search for the perfect lotions has been long and exhausting. I couldn’t begin to say what a relief it was to use the Grapefruit Ginger lotion. The first time I rubbed it over my hands I started feeling the dread of having to go & rinse it right off due to sticky residue (I hate that feeling in between my fingers!) I waited and waited and… NONE! It was perfect. When I looked at my hands and saw how silky they looked and felt, I decided to try it on my feet. We all know how tough it is to find a good lotion for feet, but it worked great! I will continue to use it all over. It’s only a hand lotion, but I smeared it all over my body & was more than happy with the silky results! I’ve only used two lotions that have ever worked on my feet and this one beats them both! One left greasy residue and the other didn’t have long lasting results. This one so far, hasn’t failed me!

- Silky. My skin felt just like silk. Non greasy, sticky.


- Smells wonderful! I never thought natural products could smell so great.

- Really brings out the youth in my hands as well as my mother’s.

These little guys were very powerful! They look cute and innocent, but don’t be fooled they’re pretty intense! By intense, I mean they really deliver the results! I only apply a small amount & my skin stays silky all day.

Plum Flower Shower Gel


Quick Overview:

I love this botanically based shower gel more than any other! My favorite thing about the shower gel is that I feel so unbelievably clean after showering with it. I also love how it’s thick, rich and makes the perfect bubble bath too. It smells great and it doesn’t leave behind that thick residue that most soaps, even shower gels do. It’s really refreshing. Of course the shower gel also leaves my skin smooth. It’s my favorite thing to use after cleaning & sweating all day because it’s the only soap I’ve used that actually lets you know you’re clean. I hate sweating & nothing feels better than washing it away with a soap that actually washes it away!

I love that I can trust these products to deliver the results they claim & I can say that these are some of the ONLY products I’ve ever used that truly does that. It promotes moisture, restores the natural oils in the skin, contains only coconut derived cleansers. By the way, I love coconut, everything about it. This is also the only product I’ve ever used that contained coconut as a cleanser, which must be why I’m so crazed by how clean it makes me.

100% Soy Wax Candle (Linen scented.)

Quick Overview:

I suffer from sinus problems and allergies when it comes to certain things like perfumes and not-so-high-quality home fragrances. I have pets, pollen, grass, and I live on a Mountain that goes by the name of Sand Mountain, yet I only have these allergies with certain fragrances while my migraines are triggered by just about anything especially perfumes. Can you imagine what a linen scented candle would do to a sufferer?

Nothing. That is correct! I usually am not very fond of most linen scented products because they tend to be over powering. The Linen Soy Wax Candle was absolutely the best scented candle I have ever set my nose on! I took one short whiff and was instantly hooked. The scary part was whether or not it triggered a migraine.

Nope! I actually light the candle every day and have yet to have a tickle in my nose. No scratchy in my eyes or throat. I was so relieved that it didn’t bother me because I love the scent so much. It’s actually burning on my dresser at the very moment.

It’s not strong and overpowering like most. It doesn’t collide with other household odors such as garbage, foods, and such. It seems to be keeping odors away. I vacuumed the area rugs and normally when the vacuum is full it puts off an unpleasant smell, kind of like the smell of a wet dog in the rain. Not pretty. I had the candle lit while vacuuming and I never smelled that wet dog. It usually lingers around for a while too, but the candle seems to be killing off those nasty smells. I’m not fond of air fresheners as I think they all collide with odor and make my home smell worse than before. There’s nothing worse than the smell of summer breeze and dirty diapers! I love so much that my linen candle has been the only scent in the house.

It’s a subtle, aromatic, relaxing scent, absolutely beautiful. I used to burn candles from the dollar store and they never really put off a nice scent. I’m blown away with how great the soy candle smells! It also kind of lingers through the house too which I love! I just can’t get enough of the soy wax candle. I’ve never had one before. To me, Valentine’s day couldn’t be any better than having these products, and out to eat of course!

Bamboo and Birch Fragrance Diffuser

I never had a fragrance diffuser until the new one I got from http://www.danibath.com I had checked them out at places like Wal Mart in the past and thought about purchasing one until I had the chance to smell the scents they offered. I immediately got a migraine and knew better than to bring one into my home. I was a little afraid this one would bother me, but after using the other products from http://www.danibath.com I wasn’t too worried about it. So I went ahead and sat it up in my bedroom.

Like the Soy Wax Candle, it seemed to completely kill off other household odors without being too strong. I noticed a huge difference in my clothing smelling like smoke, it seemed to take care of the cigarette smoke that takes over your clothing, furniture and home. When I walk in my front door, it doesn’t have a stale, cigarette scent to it. It has a subtle, floral sweet scent. I love it so much I couldn’t make up my mind as to which room I wanted it to be in so every couple of days I change it up and move it to the bedroom, powder room, and living room. It’s so perfect for a powder room, especially since I just finished remodeling mine last week. My house smells like a flower garden in the spring time.

The Bamboo and Birch fragrance diffuser gave my powder room even more of a relaxing feel. It’s aromatic & that makes bath time beyond enjoyable.

It is a bit stronger than the Linen Soy Wax candle, but still not too strong. I couldn’t be more excited about having these products. I can honestly say these are my absolute favorite fragrance, candle, scrub products because of the relaxing, calming, aromatic and unique qualities. They’re going to make an organic user out of me after all!

They’re clearly high quality products and they will remain in my home for as long as I’m able to get my hands on them.

I can’t wait to try more of their products and I will definitely let you all know how they go. I’m working up a creative way to squeeze them into our Valentine ’s Day plans. They certainly make the perfect gift!

- Makes the entire house feel like a totally new atmosphere. It’s calm now.

- Perfect level of scent. Not too strong, not too subtle.

- Seems to take away household odors like the “stale” scent.

- Lessens the cigarette smell from my clothing, furniture, and home.

- Looks so beautiful sitting on my powder room vanity, dresser in the bedroom, entertainment center in my living room, coffee table. I love how it just looks perfect anywhere it sits. It really adds a little pretty to the room.
