Universal Kwik Energy Supplement Review

Is it just me or is there a serious shortage of physical and mental energy going around? I don't know if I just have a fatigue problem or is everyone else drained as soon as they wake up everyday, too? Physical fatigue is bad enough, but being a freelance writer seems to deplete any mental focus or energy I do accumulate.

Needless to say, I'm a caffeine addict who's always looking for an energy supplement or energy drink to pick up both my physical and mental energy. With that said, I came across a new supplement that sounded promising -- called Universal Kwik Energy -- and after spending a good month using it, I thought it's high time I put my results in a review.

Universal Kwik Energy is basically an herbal energy supplement. The tablets combine anhydrous caffeine with energy-boosting herbs like guarana seed powder, kola nut seed powder, and cocoa bean extract.

Guarana seeds, used for their stimulating effect, contain about twice as much caffeine as coffee seeds.

Kola nut is a light stimulant that increases endurance and reduces appetite.

Cocoa bean extract contains caffeine and may improve cognition and blood flow.

Caffeine Anhydrous is basically caffeine in powder form.

         Pro's:
  •  Reliable -- They seems to work even after regular use.
  •  No major crashing
  •  Steady energy -- no intense ups and downs
  • Great price for such a 60-day-supply (currently less than $10 for 60-day-supply at eVitamins)

  • Made in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) facility

        Con's:
  • Contains a substance known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm (California Residents Proposition #65 Warning)
  •   Some days I needed a second dose to keep myself going.
  •   Contains artificial coloring (Red #40)

    Detailed Account of My Results

To elaborate on some of the points above, I'll start with the first point: Seems to work even after regular use.

I've taken the Universal Kwik Energy tablets for about two months. One of my biggest concerns with energy products is that they often quit "working" with regular use. For example, the first time you drink a Red Bull you get wings, right? But after drinking them daily for a week or two, the effects seem to decrease, and suddenly it's not giving you wings anymore.

I've taken a two month supply of these Kwik Energy tablets (60 servings/tablets) in about a month in a half's time (taking two tablets daily sometimes). The results didn't diminish. Each time I took a tablet, the effects were noticeable.

About the artificial coloring:
I listed the Red #40 ingredient as a "con" because it's possibly harmful and some people, like my s/o are unable to take this due to having an allergy to the artificial dye Red #40.
Who cares what color the tablet is, anyway?

How long does the energy last?

I would have an energy boost for a steady 2-3 hours after taking one. The energy probably lasts as long as any energy supplement, but there were times when my energy would be depleted by late evening and I'd just take second dose to get myself back up and running.

I love that these tablets provide a steady energy boost for a few hours at a time without a major crash when it wears off. Note: Everyone's results can vary. If you normally crash from caffeine, then you should probably expect a crash to some extent from these too.

Ingredients:

 Caffeine Anhydrous      (250 mg)
Kola Nut Seed Powder (50 mg)
 Cocoa Bean Extract      (50 mg)
 Guarana Seed Powder (50 mg)

Other ingredients: Dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline celluose, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, red #40.

Overall Rating:  4/5 Stars

The Universal Kwik Energy tablets reminded me of an old energy supplement I used to take religiously (called Motivation) until I couldn't find them anymore, so this quickly became my favorite.

However, when I read the label and saw that this supplement contains a substance known to cause reproductive harm or birth defects, it was extremely off-putting and worrisome.

Taste

As the name suggests, Beyond Tangy does taste tangy, much like that powder drink "Tang," only a little healthier. I do get that vitamin-y taste that I love so much from Beyond Tangy, but it isn't strong. It's actually a very tolerable drink mix. I mix it into water and it tastes like an orange flavored drink, only not super sweet. However, it also goes really well with an orange flavored drink and for an extra boost of Vitamin C, I made a slushy out of my water+Beyond Tangy and added a scoop of SeaBuckThorn extract powder!

Since Beyond Tangy is a nice flavor, it's easy to drink.

Besides the taste, there's a lot more to love about Youngevity's Beyond Tangy drink mix -- it's all-natural and contains no starch, wheat, or yeast. As a "Natural Living Product", the color, taste, and consistency may vary from container to container. This product contains no artificial sweeteners or preservatives and is glycemic-friendly. This made me very, very happy!

Beyond Tangy comes in the little stick-packs, as you see in the picture I posted above. It also comes in a can, but I do like the easy sticks since you can just tear them open and add them to your bottle of water anytime. I keep a large bottle with me throughout the day that holds 3.5 cups of water (filtered!) and I just add a stick-pack of Beyond Tangy to it & drink that. If I use only one cup of water to the Beyond Tangy, the taste is stronger. You can adjust the amount of water to your liking, but I was happy that the flavor wasn't super weak and hardly tasty.

Beyond Tangy is great for people who want to add more of these vitamins & minerals to their diet -- especially if you know you don't get enough, and most of us don't. It's a great and easy way to get them in there!

And Youngevity's Rebound FX Energy drink mix is a wonderful sports drink, and even better alternative to those horrible sports drinks like Powerade. Those really have crappy ingredients and are terrible on tooth enamel. Youngevity's Rebound FX Energy drink is great for extra energy and good for replacing minerals and vitamins lost through sweat.

Like Beyond Tangy, the Rebound FX comes in the one-serving stick packs, so it is easy to just tear it open and add to your water. The Redbound FX comes in different flavors, but the one I tried is Citrus Punch. It actually tasted very much like Beyond Tangy.

What it does:

- Supports healthy exercise.
- Promotes optimal well-being.
- Supports Cardiovascular health.
- Supports immune system health.
- Boosts stamina and energy.
- Promotes healthy bones.

Rebound FX Energy contains antioxidants, natural herbs and minerals such as potassium. Now that's a much better "sports" drink than the crap you find at the gas station. Plus, unlike the typical sports drink, Rebound FX is not high in sodium or carbs.

It contains Vitamin A, C, D-3, E, B1, B2, B3, B-6, Folic Acid, B12, Biotin, Panthothenic acid, Choline, Inositol, Potassium, Amino Acid Complex, Taurine, Green Tea Extract, Ginseng Root Extract, Glucono delta lactone and plant derived minerals.

So, basically, it's the same ingredients as the Beyond Tangy, except Rebound FX contains Taurine, Green Tea Extract, Ginseng Root Extract, Glucono Delta Lactone.

Wheatgrass - My results are in!

I promised y’all that I would update you on how the wheatgrass pills went. It’s been several weeks now, around a month. I couldn’t wait any longer to share the results! In case you aren’t familiar with wheatgrass, it is a supplement packed with chlorophyll, vitamins, enzymes and such. I used to think wheatgrass sounded like it was just a super vitamin until I learned more about it. I’ve never drank it. I take it in pill form. I don’t think I could handle the taste of the drink and thanks to wonderful companies like http://www.amorganics.com/

you can purchase them in pill form.

I don’t think many wheatgrass manufacturers offer them in pill form so people like me who can’t handle certain tastes are grateful for companies who have us in mind! From what I’ve gathered, wheatgrass has amazing healing powers. I decided to put it to the test!

What it does:

-Promotes general well-being and good health.

-Keeps you from getting sick.

-I’ve read that it prevents and TREATS many illnesses.

-I’ve read real stories of people who were totally healed from all types of digestive disorders.

As some of you already know, I have suffered from a few “female health conditions.” It was severe, but I won’t go into the story now. I am anemic and have been my entire life no matter how many iron pills and greens I ate. For the first time, when I was at my OB/GYN my iron was fine! I’m convinced it’s the wheatgrass.

I’ve also experienced a huge difference in the abdominal pains and “contractions,” endometriosis problems. Usually I’m pretty down every month around the 12th & I haven’t had any problems since I’ve been taking wheatgrass! None at all. I haven’t even had to “take it easy.” I usually have 2 weeks every month where I have to take it easy. I can’t eat much at all, can’t leave the house too long or do any kind of vigorous activity. I also suffer from terrible migraines. Yea and I’m only 20! 21 To be exact, but I was just 20 two days ago! To me, migraines and feminine problems 2 weeks out of every month is not how a 20 year old should feel. I’ve seriously not been able to have a life. It got much better after surgery, but I was still limited. I feel like the wheatgrass delivered me from it all, and with God’s help of course.

I couldn’t believe how much better I’ve been feeling. I’m also in a better mood lately. I have anxiety that’s associated with endo and I take meds for anxiety and endo. I haven’t had any anxiety lately & I’ve skipped taking my meds for a week now & I’m on my “bad week.” How awesome is that!

  I don’t know about others, but http://www.amorganics.com/

has made me a firm believer in their wheatgrass! They are a trustworthy company too. They’re the only online wheatgrass manufacturer that I’ve not read one bad thing about. Also with my experience, I find the company to be of perfect quality, they seem to be passionate about their product & customers.

I’m not sure if I’ve noticed much of a difference in my migraines, but I’ve only been taking them for a month. I can’t imagine how I’ll feel after a couple of months! I will update when I make it there.

PROS:

1. I haven’t gotten sick at all since taking wheatgrass. No colds, no sinus problems, allergies, and no stomach viruses or flare ups from my “female issues.”

2. Many people find that they are totally cured from colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and many other digestive problems. I can say that it’s the best thing for irritable bowel syndrome! I have taken prescription drugs for that & OTC drugs specifically for I.B.S & I can say that the wheatgrass pills have by far, made a drastic difference. And for any of you who suffer from digestive problems, you know how debilitating they can get.

3. They clean toxins from your body without giving you the horrifying side effects that most products like “cleanses” do. Most of us don’t have time to spend 3 days in the powder room! Thankfully, wheatgrass doesn’t give you nasty side effects.

4. Wheatgrass removes wastes that clutter your cells, organs and blood.

5. Gets rid of excess fat, etc.

6. Boosts immune system

7. Many, many more, but these are the main things that I’ve experienced.

8. Also seems to be great for bloating!

There aren’t any cons for the wheatgrass, unless you’re body isn’t used to them in some cases you can feel a little queasy when you first start. That’s why I started out with only 3 the next day, 5 the next, 7. I experienced no stomach upsets at all & I’m very prone to them!

I sure hope y’all try wheatgrass! If you do, or already have, I’d love to hear your results! If you’re interested check out: http://www.amorganics.com/

I’ll be keeping these around for years to come!

You can read my honesty pledge at top of page.

Just a little note from me & a wheatgrass question for my sparklies! (my wheatgrass results will be up soon)

                              Hay there my sparkly beauties!

I hope every one of you had the most amazing Valentine's day ever! (Also, I have a question for y'all today below) The B.F. took me out to eat, it was actually great & a little shopping & starbucks afterwards. The shopping didn't last too long since I was in a dress & fishnet panty hose that kept falling down to my ankles so I was having to pull them up (very embarrassing, especially when trying to hide behind the coke machine outside the store to pull them up & an old friend recognizes you!) Stupid me didn't realize that the set I bought didn't come with a garter belt to hold up the hose until I put them on today.

You see, his birthday is tomorrow yes, the day after Valentine's day! (I got him this Mudvayne T-shirt he's been wanting forever, but ended up letting him see it early!) My birthday is the 26th of this month and of course my twin's is too so it's a very busy time, plus we've been getting more & more designed acrylic nail orders every week! It's kept us very busy, but I love it. It gives me something to focus on instead of stressing over being done with school soon & not to mention turning 21. I never wanted to turn 21. Last year on my birthday, I said I just want to stay 20. Imagine the disappointment. lol

I want to know what y'all did for Valentine's day? This Valentine's day was special for me. It's my favorite holiday, but we haven't been able to really celebrate the last 2 Valentine's days thanks to my being sick. That's all behind me now though.

It's been more than great lately. Last May when I had surgery to finally fix the constant problems that was keeping me from living, is when I promised myself to live. I never got to before. I couldn't leave the house most times and if I did I was late or had to stay close to home so I promised myself that as soon as I was out of surgery I would enroll in the writing school that I was accepted into in 2007. I did it! I believe it was the day after surgery that I enrolled and now I'm nearly through. Feeling like a new person and finally starting my life and I can say it's really taking off and I'm experiencing tons of new things like our crazy orb hunting "club".

I guess this is probably boring so I'll get on with my question that I'm really desperate to hear your answers on...

I just started taking wheatgrass (in pill form) just 2 days ago. I had been doing a lot of learning about wheatgrass for a long time & I really think it will help the problems I have with endometriosis. I had surgery, was put on meds and couldn't be happier, but every month I still suffer for 12-14 days a month! Thats about half of the entire month. It's just on & off problems for those days. So instead of having a hysterectomy which is my last option at this point & I'm only 20, I thought wheatgrass could bring me the little bit of relief that will keep me from needing a hysterectomy.

I'm anemic and have terrible anxiety when I'm not taking my anxiety meds. I also have bone loss from a medication I've been on for 6 years that keeps the endo from being fed estrogen, which keeps the pain less and  the endo from growing really.

So, after learning about companies that sale wheatgrass & talking to people who have taken them from different companies, I've come to find that I trust A.M. Organics http://www.amOrganics.com    most from what I've learned.
I've been taking their wheatgrass pills for 2 days now and haven't had a single negative side effect like what I'd heard about other companies that sold wheatgrass. From the stomach problems I have, it takes little to upset it and send me to bed with a flare up for hours so I have to be careful. I was relieved to not have any stomach upsets or problems from the wheatgrass. It's supposed to be great for any digestive issues too!

Now, finally to my question: I want to hear from others who use wheatgrass. I want to know what results you had. I've not been taking it long enough to know the results, but it did seem to keep my stomach issues very calm today when the BF took me out to eat, I was able to eat a lot without any discomfort & it's been years since that's happened. I'm at the worst time of the month for my stomach problems too! So I was so happy that I was able to eat without problems afterwards. Let me know about your wheatgrass experience or any thoughts whether you've taken it or not.

By the way, I will be posting my results (full review) when I've taken the wheatgrass long enough. Hope you will read them! I'm weird about taking any kind of supplements, vitamins, etc. from all companies, but I really am happy with A.M. Organics. I think I'll decide to keep getting their wheatgrass.

You can find them at: http://www.amOrganics.com
