Greens Pak

The Greens Pak is one of the three products I've been using from Trace Minerals. I've written all about their ConcenTrace Liquid Mineral Drops earlier. And after this, you'll see my post on their Power Pak, which is different from the Greens Pak, but still fabulous. Moving on. In this post, I'll talk about the ingredients, the health benefits, the company Trace Minerals, the taste of Greens Pak and more. So pull up a seat!

The photo above is a packet of Greens Pak, opened so you can see what the powder looks like. Green, like wheatgrass, but the neat thing about Greens Pak is that it contains loads more than just wheatgrass.

And here it is again, with the flash off. You can see that the powder is green and is a very fine powder, which means it dissolves easily in water and won't clump. In fact, this is the most easy powder (especially one containing wheatgrass) I've used, and I have used at least 8 different powder supplements in the past.

What exactly is Greens Pak?

Greens Pak is a phyto-nutrient powder that contains super fruits, whole foods, vegetables, antioxidants, probiotics, enzymes, herbs, fruits,  fiber and plant extracts, etc! It contains a lot of healthy stuff.  I will go deeper into detal about the ingredients in Greens Pak in a moment.

Greens Pak has antioxidant ORAC score equal to more than 15 servings of organic fruits and vegetables in every packet.

A Little About Probiotics
Before I go really deep in this, I want to emphasis the probiotics. Greens Pak contains dairy-free probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifido Bacterium longum, L. casei, L. rhamnosus.

You probably know these are very good for our digestive system. I particularly started using probiotics (in different forms, including kefir), a couple years ago due to the struggle with IBS-candida. Candidiasis (an overgrowth of candida-alibicans or "yeast") is where you have too much of the bad bacteria (candida-albicans) and not enough good bacteria. A bout of candidiasis is really common after taking a course of antibiotics because they destroy all bacteria, including the good, which gives the bad a chance to flourish. And flourish they will do, quickly!

I'm going to refrain from going into a huge rant about candida and its causes, now.

So, basically, probiotics are the healthy bacteria that almost everybody needs more of. Getting them will also help fight off any of the bad bacteria (yep, most everybody has those, too!) and relieve digestive issues like bloating, constipation, stomach pain, etc.

What is In Greens Pak?
Do you guys remember my post about ConcenTrace? Greens Pak also contains ConcenTrace. ConcenTrace, put briefly, is trace minerals. ConcenTrace includes over 72 trace minerals and elements.

So, Greens Pak contains ConcenTrace (very healthy, helpful stuff! Read my post on it, if you haven't.) and probiotics. ConcenTrace not only has its own abundance of benefits that you'll notice, but also helps your body absorb the vitamins and nutrients you get from the Greens Pak.

Who is Greens Pak For?

Greens Pak can be used by anybody, including children. Greens Pak is something I love because I know I don't get nearly enough nutrients or even vitamins in my regular diet. Most people don't. I'm also an on-the-go kind of person who doesn't spend very much time in one place for long, so Greens Pak is perfect. As long as I have a bottle/glass of water (which is usually always on-hand), I can dump a pack in and have it.

I honestly can't think of a single person who would not benefit in some way or the other from drinking this stuff. Maybe not an infant. But I do think everybody would reap benefits from Greens Pak.

Taste

Another thing that sets Greens Pak apart from any other green juice in powder form I've ever had is the taste. Greens Pak is by far the most tolerable tasting green drink I've ever used. The packs I've been using are in berry flavor, which isn't bad. I've become accustomed to the taste of a freshly mowed lawn over the last year (from drinking wheatgrass), so tasting a flavored green is a bit new, although I have had flavored wheatgrass powder before and didn't like it. This is very easy to drink. You could even mix it with another flavored beverage to further mask the taste, although I doubt most people will be that bothered by it.

The berry flavor is sweet, so that is helpful. The sweet berry flavoring overpowers any funky vegetable or wheatgrass taste.

I simply mix mine with water and down it in one setting. The less water you use, the quicker you can get it down, but I do like to add the Greens Pak to a full glass of water -- which is more tolerable since it's not as strong tasting -- because it means I get at least one glass of water knocked out while also getting the Greens Pak down.

I've heard of people using juice like orange juice to mix with powders such as the Greens Pak.

Health Benefits:

It isn't even possible to list every health benefit from all these awesome ingredients in Greens Pak. I will mention a list of them, but if you are even more interested in know the health benefits, I recommend picking the ingredients and doing a search on "health benefits of [insert name of ingredient here]."

-Works as an anti-inflammatory thanks to the many anti-inflammatory ingredients.
-Antioxidant.
- Healthier bones, teeth and mind.
- Milk-Thistle (an ingredient in Greens Pak) has been used for liver disease and as a liver protectant, and skin tumor treatment. Also supports healthy kidney function, an antioxidant and strong anti-inflammatory.
- Soothe irritations and pain.
- Help with most digestive system upsets and irregularity.
- Stimulates digestive system.
- Gastrointestinal and circulatory health -- Japanese Knotweed Extract (an ingredient in Green's Pak) is great for gastrointestinal health and circulatory health. It works as a vessel for Resveratrol, which is also an ingredient in Greens Pak.
- Helps with bloating and stomach pains -- Turmeric (another ingredient) is known for its ability to decrease swelling, used for arthritis, heartburn, stomach pain, intestinal gas, bloating and more.

-Licorice root is also helpful for stomach, digestive problems. It also helps with PMS, craps, herpes, depression, cardiovascular disease.

Again, this is only a tiny fraction of how the ingredients in Greens Pak can benefit our health.

Organic Perfect 3 Grass Blend Review

Perfect 3 Grass Blend is a blend of powdered wheatgrass, barley grass and oatgrass in powder form. It's organic and fermented. Perfect 3 Grass Blend comes from Perfect Supplements. Perfect Supplements has a variety of similar products, all organic and very health-beneficial.

As someone who's tried a few different types of wheatgrass and one brand of barley grass, I have found my preference when it comes to a wheatgrass product & I am happy to say, there's nothing like the Perfect 3 Grass Blend. One reason I love it is because, unlike other wheatgrasses and barley grasses, you have three different grasses in one tub, so it's like triple the health benefits. Although there's plenty to love about Perfect Supplements' wheatgrass, barley grass and oat grass blend -- all of which I'll be sure to include in this post -- I also love that it's USDA Certified Organic. It's also fermented (this is great for the digestive system), which is something I've never encountered with a wheatgrass/barley grass/oat grass supplement before. Another great thing is it's gluten-free and vegan!

Perfect Supplements' Perfect 3 Grass Blend is unique in comparison to any I've ever tried & I feel it's far more effective for my health needs than anything else.

Above is a photo of the tub of Perfect 3 Grass Blend. As you see, it comes in a nice little tub with a twist-on lid. It also comes with a little scooper inside! I loved that because it really makes it more convenient & it's easier to just add a scoop (or two, depending on how much you're using) to your drink without having to measure out.

Also, if I'm travelling, although the tub isn't tiny, I can fit the entire thing in my bag & just grab it, open the lid and add a scoop into my drink on the go.

The tub contains 180 grams of the Perfect 3 Grass Blend.

I've taken photos to show the Perfect 3 Grass Blend powder. It's very fine. In fact, it's the finest wheatgrass or barley grass powder I have ever used. Being so fine, it dissolves easily in your drink.

As recommended on the jar, you take 1-2 scoops of the Perfect Three Grass Blend daily to juice, water or a smoothie or other beverage.

I personally like it cold! I get a bottle of filtered, cold water & add a scoop, then shake the bottle well. It's usually dissolved and mixed in quickly.

I also like to add a scoop to a smoothie or milkshake. I find that it's really filling and tastier that way. It gives a nice, clean & fresh taste to a milkshake or smoothie. I think it could also be added to yogurt, which would also probably go down easily. I've even heard of people adding it to their cereal.

A lot of times, I will get just less than half a scoop & dump it into my mouth -- just the Perfect 3 Blend powder straight, not mixed into anything. I actually started doing this for my teeth -- because I had a toothache & dental issues & since it's so good for both relieving tooth pain and dental health, one day I decided to hold the wheatgrass powder in my mouth. Now, I do that pretty often using the Perfect 3 Grass Blend. I did it in the past with other wheatgrass, but found it very hard to handle. I  either developed more of a tolerance to it or something changed because it's almost a daily habit for me to just put it straight into my mouth. I will leave it in there to mix with my saliva for a minute, then swallow with something to drink.

Surprisingly, it actually goes down really well. You could even dump a little on the middle of your tongue, then swallow with a drink just like you would with a BC or Goody's powder.

I once read that swishing the wheatgrass juice around in your mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing was supposed to be good because of the enzymes in your saliva or something. So this is one reason I like to do that.

Also, I love the totally clean feeling left over in my mouth after holding in the Perfect 3 Grass Blend! Seriously. You would think it'd leave a nasty taste or something, but it actually leaves my tongue feeling deeply cleaned. Plus, it's amazing for bad breath! Coffee tongue? Hold in some Perfect 3 Grass Blend & follow with some water & your breath is good to go.

Taste

As can be expected, the Perfect Three Grass Blend does taste a lot like wheatgrass, if you've ever had it. I find that Barley grass taste almost identical to wheatgrass, but the Perfect 3 Blend, as I've said, is a combination of barley, wheat grass and oat grass.

I'll admit, my first response when I tried the Perfect 3 Grass Blend was "it smells & tastes like a freshly mowed lawn." Yum. I happened to love the smell of a freshly mowed lawn. But all wheatgrass juices taste like a freshly mowed lawn. Your breath, however, won't smell like grass. As I said, it leaves your breath smelling fresh. It's a great remedy for bad breath.

Some people say it's an acquired taste. I tend to think most people can easily get used to the taste of wheatgrass to the point of enjoying it & even looking forward to a wheatgrass juice made with the powder. Just like black coffee. After a while of drinking coffee, most people tend to enjoy the taste and look forward to a cup. The same thing happened to me with the Perfect Three Blend. I look forward to drinking it everyday. I like how it makes me feel & the health benefits and eventually, the process of drinking it just became enjoyable.

As for those who aren't really into the taste yet or just can't enjoy it, mixing it into something else like a thick drink -- smoothies, milkshakes, etc. should do the trick.

I've done some experimenting and found that the taste does seem to be masked somewhat by a strong tea.

You can also experiment with adding it to foods, so I hear. I've seen a wheatgrass+guacamole recipe online that sounds pretty tasty!  There are also loads of different smoothie recipes online for wheatgrass & the Perfect Three Grass Blend can be used in the same way you would with those wheatgrass smoothie recipes.

I've seen where you can even add it into energy bars and salads as well.

And yet another interesting thing I've yet to try, but want to -- cranberry juice + wheatgrass. It's supposed to be a great detox drink. I think you just add in the Perfect 3 Grass Blend to cranberry juice & you're good to go. Just be sure the cranberry juice you're using isn't loaded down with sugars and junk.

*If any of you happen to be interested in more detailed recipes for foods/drinks with Perfect Three Grass Blend, do let me know & I will do a whole post on that!*

                    Oat  Grass  Benefits

-Strengthens bones, which also means it strengthens teeth, which is one reason I adore the Perfect 3 Blend! It’s amazing for my dental needs as well as my overall health.

 -Rich in antioxidants

-Balances body’s pH, which as I’ve said earlier, in a pH balanced body, apparently disease is a lot less likely to occur.

-Removes chemical neurotoxins from the body (the chlorophyll in the Perfect 3 Blend is responsible for this awesome action.)

-Chlorophyll is also known to have powerful healing properties for the entire body. If you just read up on people’s personal stories online, you’ll be totally shocked to hear what all they’ve healed by changing their lifestyle some & using wheatgrass, oat grass and or barley grass. All three together are truly nothing short of amazing!

- Chlorophyll works gently in our blood stream to support the production of red blood cells.

-Fights inflammation, aging, fatigue and disease. Wheatgrass, oat grass and barley grass all have these properties!

All three together, clearly, have so many benefits that it's impossible to list them all. Wheatgrass as well as the other two reduce bloating, which is something I'm so grateful for! I have severe bloating, which is uncomfortable & the Perfect 3 Grass Blend prevents it. It also helps immensly with all digestive issues. I've noticed a difference in my own. It's helpful for IBS as well, which is something I have struggled to keep away since I recovered from my severe case of it.

*More about my personal experience with wheatgrasses & Perfect Supplements*

I've talked about using wheatgrass in the past. I've used many different brands and had a huge variety of effects, but I can honestly say, none has affected me just the way this Perfect 3 Blend has, and I was shocked at how quickly I seen results -- I'll describe what results in a moment.

What got me interested in wheatgrass in the first place was to help the severe IBS and endometriosis I was suffering from a couple years ago. It tried some wheatgrass tablets first & was taking them just as the bottle directed & began to experience negative stuff. This can happen when your body is toxic. When it detoxes, things happen. This is why it's okay to take it slow and start off with a small amount, then work your way up. However, unless you have a very toxic body, I don't think you would experience icky effects from Perfect 3 Grass Blend.

After taking those tablets I mentioned trying a while back, I didn't feel anything different. No energy or decreased symptoms/pain. No change in my foggy headedness, dizziness, migraines, bloating, cramps or anything. Nothing changed at all, even months after continuing with those tablets. I gave up. Then tried other tablets with similar results -- nearly nothing! Gave up again, only to go and try a different brand that was powder, like the Perfect 3 Blend that you drink. Then tried 2 more brands. I didn't experience any great healing.

Now, a few years after my first wheatgrass experiences, I've also made big changes to my "lifestyle choices." I try to drink around 3 cups of water daily, I eat healthier, although I eat little and really have an extremely hard time getting enough of the needed vitamins and minerals. So this is why I feel so intensely about this Perfect 3 Blend -- it gives me all these things that I don't get enough of in my day.

Although I try to eat a lot of greens throughout the week -- spinach, green peppers, potatoes, lettuce, black olives, cucumbers, etc. Those are the ones I eat most. They're beneficial, but don't give me everything I need. I also don't get enough fruits either.

On days when I know I've not eaten enough of what my body needs, I'll have extra Perfect Three Grass Blend. I love that it has taken a lot of stress off me about trying to get every single mineral, vitamin and nutrient I need. It can be really hard to get everything needed & to be honest, it gets expensive trying to eat healthy and avoid the stupid pesticides, chemicals and other crap that ruin what we need in the foods we get.

Some reasons I am using Perfect 3 Grass Blend
So that is a main reason I'm trying to keep using the Perfect 3 Grass Blend on a daily basis. Other reasons include prevention (of disease, common ailments like flu, colds and other illness as well as free radicals and all that stuff that can cause us future health problems.) Detoxification is another big reason. I've talked a lot  on my blog about my own health battles -- the IBS, endometriosis, vaccines and dental issues -- and I've been diligent in sharing everything with you guys. Vaccines and just everyday foods and such put toxins and heavy metals and crap into our bodies that cause serious problems on a daily basis as well as serious health problems for our future. I desperately needed to get all that out of my body. Almost a full year of antibiotics, vaccines that were literally pushed on me by my doctor, vaccines that have been causing me real bad problems recently & are very harmful (Gardasil, to be exact) and the dental stuff all combined with the daily crud. Those had to go in order for me to get my health back on track. I had to start "detoxing" it. I could tell I was in toxic overload! Especially with all the symptoms I was having.

I started using the Perfect 3 Grass Blend about 2 or more weeks ago. I can't be exact, but it was maybe 3 weeks at the most. I started with one scoop daily & have worked my way up to 2 scoops (sometimes more) daily. Never have I had a single negative side effect from the Perfect 3 Grass Blend. Other wheatgrass products I've used have seemed to give me headaches, stomach upset, etc. I've experienced nothing of the sort with the Perfect 3.

I did start experiencing a change in my digestive system stuff. You guys know I started taking aloe vera internally (straight from my plant) for the endometriosis and IBS. I don't do it daily, but on a more as-needed basis like when I notice the IBS "coming back" due to certain foods, exposure to crud, etc. I started having the intense crams associated with both IBS and endometriosis again a few months ago as well as a lot of other symptoms associated with IBS as well as the vaccines I got.

I haven't had any of the regular stomach problems in over a week, the cramps aren't happening & I feel what they call a "sense of well-being." I wake up energetic and ready to get things done. It's amazing, really. And I started noticing these effects not 2 weeks into taking the Perfect 3 Grass Blend. At first, I noticed a little extra energy upon waking, less migraines upon waking and better sleeping, which I don't know if it's a benefit from the Perfect 3 or not. I have been doing twice as much activity as I had been & I actually feel totally fine. I actually feel like doing strenous activity and doing work that requires me to put some muscle into it without getting beat. I'd never experienced this stuff when I was using the wheatgrass supplements I talked about. I think part of it is due to the Perfect 3 Blend containing all three and not just one.

Something else I've noticed -- a slight decrease in cravings. I love my sweets and can sometimes get into those moods once a month where I just keep wanting to eat all kinds of stuff. I don't know if I'm just not in that "mood" the past few weeks or if the Perfect 3 has actually somewhat knocked out all those crazy cravings, but I like it! I don't like feeling desperate for chocolate. Sweets are nice & I won't turn down my peanut butter or white chocoloate chip macadamia nut cookies, but it's nice not to feel like I must have something sweet. I hope this is an effect of the Perfect 3 Grass Blend because I would love to continue feeling this way, not desperately craving sweets. I do want sweets, but it's not near as intense as it was.

As I said, I have been really shocked at how noticeable these results are for me. I've not had this happen before, so I didn't expect to notice anything big, especially this soon. I figured maybe I'd feel a little better energy wise and be less loaded down with toxins after a month, but I didn't expect to feel good all over.

Oh, and I can't forget the teeth! I have a root canal that my dentist didn't cap & three teeth he temporarily filled over a year ago &  they do often cause me some pain. Remember my posts about when I quit using toothpaste & made all those changes & stuff? Well, I do still feel some discomfort in those teeth, so a week ago, it flared up and was giving me some minor problems & I took some of the Perfect 3 Grass Blend, held it in my mouth on the tooth twice that day & have been great ever since!

That reminds me, I also oil-pull using sunflower oil & on an oil-pulling forum I read often, someone said they used wheatgrass with a small amount of water similar as you would with oil-pulling. They just swished it in their mouth everyday and said it made huge differences for their teeth & even for cavities! I have read so much about people saying their cavities are better or even gone from using wheatgrass. This is something I also hope to accomplish -- better dental health.

Besides the Perfect 3 Grass Blend, I have been working to make sure I drink plenty of water, I've added some seabuckthorn oil into my diet  & am also incorporating some MSM into my diet for a little while -- to help further detox, especially due to the vaccine I recently had. I think it will work wonderfully while using the Perfect 3 Blend together to give me even better results, extra detox & better sleep.

I know this is really lengthy, but you guys know me. When I get excited about something, I get carried away & I like to include everything I can about something I love & I didn't want to leave out any detail on this one! Even still, I know I've not included every single health benefit there is to be had with the Perfect 3 Grass Blend. I am sure there will be more benefits to come as I keep using the Perfect 3 Blend, so if you guys are interested, I'll do updates as I continue. If you have questions, I'm happy to try and answer them, as always & I love hearing from ya'll too!

UPDATE:

This isn't a huge update, but I just found out something pretty darn interesting and couldn't resist. Be forewarned though, this could gross you out! I have been good and refrained from being too gross on my blog. I've talked about private parts and irritable bowels, but I have always stopped there. I've never gone so far as to really talk about poop & I never thought I'd see this day, but guys. I have to talk about it. I know, it's disgusting & I'm gross.

I just wanted to say, though, that due to the chlorophyll content in this magnificent 3 Grass Blend,  you very well could notice that your... waste... is suddenly very green! I say this because, um.. well,... um.. My, uh, my friend. She had been using the Perfect 3 Grass Blend and just a while ago, noticed that her poop is very bright green. Not an icky green, either. A bright, bright green! It's pretty interesting, actually. But when my uh, friend told me this, I had to come make an update here. So, if you happen to try the Perfect 3 Blend and notice green in the toilet bowl, don't freak. It's due to the chlorophyll content. There are other reasons for green colored stuff ("stuff is a nicer word than poop, so we'll call it that) such as iron or due to your "stuff" passing quickly through the intestines or something.

It's been two days since I published this review (I published it on the 18th, so today is the 20th) and my uh, friend didn't notice any changes in her... stuff until tonight. It could be because she upped her intake of the Perfect 3 Blend last night to about 1-1/2 more scoops than she'd been taking. No big deal and no other changes besides the color in the ... stuff. Just thought I'd share that! It was strange because I'd never heard of wheatgrass or oatgrass or barley grass causing your stuff to turn green, so it was surprising. I've also taken other wheat grass and barley grass supplements in the past (I mentioned this earlier in this post) and never noticed any green stuff myself.

Amazing grass Wheatgrass powders, flavors and benefits!

You guys have been with me in a lot of my journey with my health and battling different conditions, all which I've managed to get under control or eliminate or am working on now. Upon learning all the benefits of Wheatgrass, I couldn't help but share it with ya'll. For the past couple of weeks I've been on an Amazing Grass kick and am loving every bit of Amazing Grass' products! Now I want to share my experience with Amazing Grass as well as the benefits of using wheatgrass.

One of the best things, and something that gives Amazing Grass an advantage over other wheatgrass manufacturers/sellers, is their huge, fantastic variety of wheatgrass and flavored wheatgrass. As you'll see in my photos, Amazing Grass truly offers a unique selection, and has gone so far as to make wheatgrass tasty such as with their Chocolate flavored Wheatgrass for Kidz...or for Kendraz. Ha. Ha. I am even fond of the Kidz versions! I will go into detail about the super unique variety of products Amazing Grass offers.

Unlike any other wheatgrass company I've ever known of, Amazing Grass has a selection of wheatgrass powders called Amazing Meal as well as the Kidz Superfoods and some more I'll talk about. I really love this about Amazing Grass. You have your different categories so that you can choose what best suits you and your family. The Amazing Meal is wonderful because it's tasty, extremely nutritional and can totally take away your hunger without diminishing your body of any important nutrient. Not even one! In all honesty, most of us don't even get as much nutrition in a month as you do out of one Amazing Meal packet.

Amazing Meal comes in a variety of different flavors including: Vanilla Chai, Original Blend, Pomegranate Mango and Chocolate Infusion. Vanilla is lovely. A creamy, tasty, vanilla flavor with hints of coconut to my taste buds. You can taste the grassy-like taste that is expected with any wheatgrass, but Amazing Grass' Amazing Meal and Kidz Superfood versions taste better and less like a freshly mowed lawn than any wheatgrass I have ever tried. This plus it being all organic makes it my ideal choice for myself and my family.

The Amazing Meal version contains plant-based protein,  vegetables and fruits. Each serving has 10 grams of complete protein and 6 grams of fiber.

How to use the Amazing Grass powder products

The organic wheatgrass superfoods in powder form come in simple, easy to use packets. You tear them open (no scissors needed!) and empty contents into about anything you desire. I've dumped the powders into many different drinks, shakes, water, juices. I've added them to coffee (the Vanilla Chai does well with this whereas the Mixed Berry may not), juices (Pomegranate Mango does beautiful mixed with almost any juice. Makes cranberry juice tastier), water, etc.

And when it comes to the Kidz Superfood versions -- which comes in the following flavors: Lemon Lime, Orange Dreamsicle, Chocolate, Wild Berry -- I like the taste so much that I can simply dump the powder onto my tongue and swallow. Then take a swig of water or something. I actually done this with the Mixed Berry just tonight. It's easy and quick for when you're in a hurry or enjoy it this way. Let me just say, Orange Dreamsicle is bound to be a favorite of anybody. I really could not imagine someone not at least being OK with that flavor. I loved it.

As you see in my photo above, the Amazing Meal Shaker Cup Combo comes with a lovely, very handy cup.

Included with this combo is:

It has a the measurements listed on the side and is NOT a spillable cup! Filled all the way, it holds 16 OZ.  I have actually used this cup every single day for both my wheatgrass drinks, coffee and water since I got it. I love adding a few ice cubes, Amazing Meal packet, and coffee then shaking it. It's kind of foamy and delicious! I even added a half a scoop of Whey Protein along with my Amazing Meal today. I love that the cup has a snap on and off lid that's easy to open and drink from. It shuts totally making it easy to add contents, close the lid and shake vigorously with NO spilling! It's been my "on-the-go-Amazing-Meal-cup." I take it with me anytime I'm in a hurry to leave.

I'm doing this since the other flavors of the Amazing Meal do slightly differ ingredient wise from the chocolate. Listing the one was to give you an idea of them as a whole. If you wish to view the exact nutrition label for the other flavors, simply click their names and you'll be taken to the page. As I said, they are all very similar to the Chocolate, but do slightly differ.

Each of the Kidz Superfoods ingredients only slightly differ, so I figured it best not to make the HUGE post of including every single detail for each and every flavor. However, the one provided above is for the chocolate. For instance, the Berry flavor includes a few extra ingredients like Hibiscus and guar gum. Since I won't put every nutrition list here, I will put a link to each flavor so you can view them yourself below by clicking the name of flavor:

And with the Kidz Superfood Combo, you get the Kidz drink powders along with this awesome Kidz Shaker Cup. I actually have used this cup. It's not even embarrassing to use as an adult! It's also non-spilly. It doesn't leak and is something my neice has thoroughly enjoyed drinking from. She's not a picky wheatgrass drinker. As long as I have my cup of wheatgrass, she'll drink a decent amount from hers. She's a chocolate wheatgrass fan. That one seemed her favorite, and I don't blame her.

One Shaker Cup Combo comes with:
-Cup
-2 Chocolate wheatgrass packets
-2 Mixed Berry wheagrass packets
-$5 off coupon for 30 or 60 serving Kidz Superfood
-Simple and tasty smoothie recipe

This cup is cute, it's entertaining for kids. My neice likes naming off the cute characters on the cup and what they are doing. This one has a removable straw for easy cleaning and the little plastic straw slide up and closed to prevent leaking. You can add the juice/milk and the wheatgrass Kidz Superfood and shake with no spills!

Here is what one of the Amazing Grass packets, poured out into my hand looks like:

One thing I like a lot about Amazing Grass wheatgrass is how fine the powders are. I haven't ever had wheatgrass in powder form that wasn't extremely "pulpy." Wheatgrass, no matter how finely chopped will usually be grainy or pulpy in your drink and settle to the bottom if not stirred. This also means you can feel the slight grit in your mouth. Amazing Grass' powders aren't near as gritty as others I have used. That's definitely appreciated by my taste buds!

Oh, and something to note "Amazing grass is from farms, not factories." Amazing Grass products are Kosher Certified!

Benefits of wheatgrass:

*Toothaches. Ya'll have read my huge dilemmas over the last year with my teeth. I've been through heck and finally decided to quit toothpaste and start brushing with soap! I've made huge changes in my everyday mouth habits in hopes of healing a couple of teeth. So after 3 months ago when my dentist drilled 3 teeth and only temporarily filled them and proceeded to tell me "Oh! Looks like I've used up all your insurance, but you really need to come back in 3 weeks so I can fill your teeth with permanant fillers!" Yea, so all those needless visits he requested me to show up for, the ones where he spent five minutes tapping my teeth, I guess that was his nice way of milking the heck out of my insurance. So I buckled down, decided I didn't need him. I'd try to do what  I can do without the drills, fills and mercury. However, there is some pain with that since I have a half done root canal, one that I paid in FULL for, 3 drilled teeth and another tooth with pain because my dentist chipped it while extracting my wisdom!

So when you have a toothache or have been crazily drilled at by a dentist with no intentions to actually help your teeth, you're in some luck in the pain department. You can mix the wheatgrass powder with water, but I just dump a bunch of the powder into my mouth and it'll get wet by all the spit I produce while holding it. Then I focus on holding the powder and spit wherever the pain is. I usually swish it around my mouth for about 2-3 minutes afterward. Then rinse. I wouldn't swallow it.

* Detox!  Wheatgrass can be used to detox your liver, kidneys, etc. For those trying to shed a few extra pounds, wheatgrass is your best friend for life. If you're dieting, wheatgrass should be consumed regularly. This is a must. It'll replace lost nutrients and probably even give you more nutrients than you had before dieting! Also, the great amount of nutrients in the wheatgrass will keep your immune system strong, help with detoxing, and give you energy.

Some people like to detox to lose weight, then you have those of us who just want to stay healthy. I personally have shared with you my own ailments over the year. I've suffered from IBS (ugghhh!) and endometriosis. You guys already know that I eat my aloe vera plant, which helps wonderfully. Wheatgrass is something that helps as well. However, given that I have the sensitive digestive system, I have to take it slower than someone who doesn't. For instance, my lovie can literally down 2 glasses (2 packets of wheatgrass powder) in less than a couple minutes without ever having the slightest stomach rumble. Then you have me who has to only drink a half a glass (half a packet of wheatgrass) to be sure my stomach doesn't get upset. I haven't had this happen while using Amazing Grass Wheatgrass, but in the past it has. I can definitely say Amazing Grass will absolutely without a doubt detox ya! I've been experiencing that pretty big time over the past 3 days. No bad side effects though, which I'm ever so grateful for.

*Weight Loss. As I've already said, wheatgrass is a perfect way to "cleanse" or detox since it's safe and natural and does not have toxic side effects. It will however eliminate toxins in the body and it's possible you'll see/feel it. It's not bad for me since I'm not trying to lose weight, but trying to get healthier. I think it's amazing for helping you not eat as much. The one and a half cup my lovie and I shared the other day made me so full I could barely eat for the entire evening & night.  If portion control is your problem, Amazing Grass has you covered with their tasty flavored drinks. Add milk to one such as the vanilla flavor and whatever craving you had will more than likely disappear! I'd be surprised if anyone was still hungry right after that. Also, since Amazing Grass' products are so very packed with nutrients and vegetable and all that good stuff, you're naturally going to have a very full feeling for a good while.

*And my absolute favorite, Energy! Ahh! Nothing is quite like the energy you get from wheatgrass! I tell you, Sunday and Monday were such rough days. We were exhausted. Getting ready for our Panama trip this week and cleaning like crazy, kids, kids, kids, and plus both me and my lovie working way over time had us feeling like zombies. I felt like total sh**! Then we were just beginning to drink our wheatgrass. Lovie was passing out randomly on me all week and was so exhausted that I'd started truly worrying about him. Today is Thursday and that heifer was busting with energy today. Yesterday is when the improvement was kicking in. He felt better, no trouble staying awake, but still quite tired. Today he was good to go. He's told me before when we tried wheatgrass in pill form that it got rid of his headaches and made him feel "so good!" He's told me he's been able to work so much harder.

We both exercise -- him with weights and such, me on a fitness pole and walking. In these hot months it's hard to find the energy to do this, and he noticed a big improvement before I even did. And I'm supposed to be the healthy one here! I eat way healthier, take my aloe religiously, etc. And yet he feels better sooner. Me on the other hand, I get migraines so often and working in nail design is a sure fire way to bring on a killer migraine, especially this week with all the over time. I did experience a headache that I couldn't quite get rid of completely yesterday and all night. I took two BC powders and still had a bit of one nagging at me. This can be a side effect of the beginning of a wheatgrass detox. Flushin' out all those toxins can be cause this, but it's not horrible, and today I've done far better. I worked for hours in a not-well-ventilated area today designing with tons of nail polish and paints and I've not had such a bad a headache today.

*Constipation.  Yep, I had to go there, but it's true. A lot of people use wheatgrass juice to solve this problem, and I can say for sure, it works! If you've ever wondered if wheatgrass will get rid of built up waste, wonder no more my friend. And if you think you have a large amount, go easy. It will really get things movin'. I've known some people who even use wheatgrass juice as an... enema! (Gulp). I am not saying to do this. I don't know what exactly would happen besides a lot of pooping. But I have never put anything in that... orifice, so I would personally never do it. I would recommend trying to drink a packet of Amazing Grass for a couple of days before resorting to something that extreme. It may take a day or two, but you will definitely see a difference in the constipation department. Possibly even a really massive difference. Don't say I didn't warn ya. I love that it's a natural way to do this, so you people who are hooked on laxatives and that type of thing, give wheatgrass a try. It's a great alternative to having to use laxatives with only God-knows-what in them. Again, laxatives are not something I have ever used, but I'm absolutely positive that wheatgrass is a better alternative. I personally only go the natural route when it comes to this. Drink plenty of water, eat vegetables and drink wheatgrass (maybe add a tiny bit of alloin to it to really move things along), but I hardly ever think there's a reason to go any other route than natural. Too scary for me. So give the laxatives a break and try the wheatgrass! And definitely, tell me your results.

*High Blood Pressure

*Wheatgrass is said to have the ability to DISSOLVE tumors! It is often recommended by doctors (you know, the good doctors that aren't out to kill for money. Sorry I'm on a mini rampage against that profession these days.)  for cancer patients. Clearly you see that with all the nutrients and such that it contains, it's going to be good for anybody, and especially someone who's dealing with terminal illness. There's at least one person who's made serious claims about wheatgrass (and a few other dietary changes like taking other good-for-you-stuff) ridding her of cancer. You're free to look up all the information and see it online.

* Skin problems. Many different skin problems benefit from wheatgrass. Just to name some: eczema,

*Chlorophyll in wheatgrass is anti-bacterial.  It can heal internally and externally.

*Digestive disorders: Colitis, divirticulitis, IBS,  Gastritis, hemorrhoids, nasal problems (build of of even hardened stuff in nasal passages), athlete's foot, fatigue, liver problems (flushes liver of toxins), tooth pain, gums, cleanses intestines, etc.

*Studies show within two weeks of drinking wheatgrass, the blood is detoxified.

*Strengthens immune system.

*Helps with obesity.

*Prevents anemia, and all sort of disease.

*Removes heavy metals from the body.

* Eliminates Bad breath!

*Contains excellent amounts of calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, potassium, folic acid, major and minor minerals, b vitamins, chlorophyll, etc.

*Wheatgrass has a high content of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is molecularly similar to hemoglobin (red blood cells), so it has the ability to break down poisonous carbon dioxide and release free oxygen.  This inhibits and reduces the action of disease producing micro-organism.

*Stimulates healthy tissue cell growth.

*Removes toxins from the lymph system.

*Wheatgrass juice's high enzyme content is said to have the ability to dissolve tumors.

And there's plenty more benefits, but we'll stop here.

Couple different ways to use wheatgrass:

* Drink it. Mix wheatgrass powder into any shake, smoothie, milkshake, coffee, juice, water.

* Sprinkle on food.

* Use as a facial mask for skin benefits. You can also add to your bath. If you're interested in a wheatgrass facial mask, see my post on DIY face & body scrub. Simply add the wheatgrass powder into your other ingredients. I've given detailed instructions on the DIY face & body scrub post.

* And if you just don't have time or do not want to drink a cup of whatever you plan to mix the wheatgrass powder with, there's another way, but you may need some guts for this. Take the packet of wheatgrass powder and have a drink on hand. Really close. Actually, go ahead and remove any lid from the drink cup and have it in hand! Pour only a small amount of wheatgrass powder onto the back of your tongue and swallow. Chase with a drink! You can continue dumping the powder from the pack and into your mouth until you've reached the desired limit or until you've finished the packet. Like I said, my little stomach is so sensitive that I'm best to only do a half a pack. So I simply dump on my tongue, swallow and drink. For me, this isn't horrid because I'm used to dumping BC powders on my tongue, swallowing with a drink. It took me 5 years to be able to handle doing that though! I'm a wuss though. And in all honesty, the wheatgrass powder isn't bad at all. Even better with Amazing Grass' flavored versions. It's not bad at all.

*Capsules (pill form) I can't say for sure the wheatgrass powder will be AS effective taking it in pill form, but I know it'd still be plenty effective. You can get some empty capsules if you absolutely cannot drink the wheatgrass juice. Scoop the powder into capsules and take them like you would a vitamin.
