Power Pak Electrolyte Supplement

As promised, I'm now giving you the low-down on the final product I've been using from Trace Minerals. To update you, I've posted about their ConcenTrace (trace mineral drops) and their Greens Pak. This one is samples of their Power Pak, which also contains their 100 mg of ConcenTrace formula! ConcenTrace has its own health benefits, but it also helps the vitamins in Power Pak to be absorbed by the body.

Power Pak  is a travel-friendly powder supplement that easily dissolves in water. Vitamin C is tha major ingredient in this Power Pak supplement, but there are others that carry with them wonderful benefits as well -- all of which I'll discuss.

Here you can see the actual supplement/powder in Power Pak. It's a fine, yellow colored powder.

If you've ever  used the stuff called Emergen-C, then you'll be somewhat familiar with the Power Pak, although there is definitely some differences, which I'll explain in a moment.

Power Pak has very similar ingredients to Emergen-C, but I actually had a few packets of the Emergen-C and decided to compare the two. The results were that they were a few ingredients different, and most importantly, Power Pak contained a little more of most the ingredients than the Emergen-C. And something that's also nice, Power Pak tastes much, much, much better! I can't stand the taste of Emergen-C, and I've used every flavor they've put out. The only one I was ever able to tolerate was their "citrus" flavor, and that's only because I could mix it with black cherry Mio water flavorer and tolerate it.

Power Pak has a citrusy, sweet flavor and it's vegan.

Power Pak is pretty tasty! I enjoy the taste and don't have to mix it to mask the flavor. It's possible to do that, though. Orange juice, water flavors, other beverages will work.

The photo above is one I took to show you guys how it fizzes! How neat, huh? It was actually an accident. I tried dumping Power Pak into the tiny hole in my cup and there was some water on top -- well, you see what happened. The powder went on the top and once it mixed with those water drops, it fizzed like alka-seltzer. I can promise you it tastes nothing as badly as that alka-seltzer, though.

What Power Pak does:

Power Pak was designed for replacing electrolyte loss as well as providing the body with important nutrients and trace minerals. It's great for sluggish, low-energy days. The electrolytes help balance and optimize energy levels. Power Pak doesn't use caffeine, artificial stimulants, gluten or artificial flavors. Each pack has only 20 calories. It also contains only 3 grams sugars and 3 grams of total carbohydrates.

Since an electrolyte deficiency or imbalance can cause fatigue, Power Pak may help people who are deficient to regain some of their energy. The ConcenTrace (trace minerals) are also a huge help in energy levels and also benefit the mind -- clearing foggy headedness.

Here are just some of the benefits from the ingredients Power Pak contains:

Antioxidants:  Prevents damage caused by free radicals.

1200 mg Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid): May provide protection for immune system, provides some protection against strokes, cancer, diseases of the eyes and cardiovascular disease, prevents aging, etc.

Potassium: Helps body maintain fluid content, helps heart beat regularly, helps muscles contract, maintains normal blood pressure levels. May help reduce risk of kidney stones and bone loss.

Magnesium: Regulates blood pressure, helps with constipation, aids in bone health.

Manganese:   Promotes healthy bone structure, prevents osteoporosis, helps create enzymes for building bones. Helps with absorption of calcium, formation of connective tissues, promotes thyroid gland and digestive systemfunction, neutralizes free radicals, anti-inflammation,etc.

Vitamins B6, B1, B2, B3, B12:
Benefits of B's include: boosts energy. Stress, anxiety and depression relief,  improves memory. Almost anything to do with your mind will be benefited by B vitamins. Necessary for neurotransmitters (serotonin.)

Pantothenic Acid: Can speed up healing in wounds, reduce cholesterol.

Calcium Lactate: Promotes strong bones & teeth.

Folic Acid : Decreases risks colon cancer,  stroke, heart disease, birth defects.

Greens Pak

The Greens Pak is one of the three products I've been using from Trace Minerals. I've written all about their ConcenTrace Liquid Mineral Drops earlier. And after this, you'll see my post on their Power Pak, which is different from the Greens Pak, but still fabulous. Moving on. In this post, I'll talk about the ingredients, the health benefits, the company Trace Minerals, the taste of Greens Pak and more. So pull up a seat!

The photo above is a packet of Greens Pak, opened so you can see what the powder looks like. Green, like wheatgrass, but the neat thing about Greens Pak is that it contains loads more than just wheatgrass.

And here it is again, with the flash off. You can see that the powder is green and is a very fine powder, which means it dissolves easily in water and won't clump. In fact, this is the most easy powder (especially one containing wheatgrass) I've used, and I have used at least 8 different powder supplements in the past.

What exactly is Greens Pak?

Greens Pak is a phyto-nutrient powder that contains super fruits, whole foods, vegetables, antioxidants, probiotics, enzymes, herbs, fruits,  fiber and plant extracts, etc! It contains a lot of healthy stuff.  I will go deeper into detal about the ingredients in Greens Pak in a moment.

Greens Pak has antioxidant ORAC score equal to more than 15 servings of organic fruits and vegetables in every packet.

A Little About Probiotics
Before I go really deep in this, I want to emphasis the probiotics. Greens Pak contains dairy-free probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifido Bacterium longum, L. casei, L. rhamnosus.

You probably know these are very good for our digestive system. I particularly started using probiotics (in different forms, including kefir), a couple years ago due to the struggle with IBS-candida. Candidiasis (an overgrowth of candida-alibicans or "yeast") is where you have too much of the bad bacteria (candida-albicans) and not enough good bacteria. A bout of candidiasis is really common after taking a course of antibiotics because they destroy all bacteria, including the good, which gives the bad a chance to flourish. And flourish they will do, quickly!

I'm going to refrain from going into a huge rant about candida and its causes, now.

So, basically, probiotics are the healthy bacteria that almost everybody needs more of. Getting them will also help fight off any of the bad bacteria (yep, most everybody has those, too!) and relieve digestive issues like bloating, constipation, stomach pain, etc.

What is In Greens Pak?
Do you guys remember my post about ConcenTrace? Greens Pak also contains ConcenTrace. ConcenTrace, put briefly, is trace minerals. ConcenTrace includes over 72 trace minerals and elements.

So, Greens Pak contains ConcenTrace (very healthy, helpful stuff! Read my post on it, if you haven't.) and probiotics. ConcenTrace not only has its own abundance of benefits that you'll notice, but also helps your body absorb the vitamins and nutrients you get from the Greens Pak.

Who is Greens Pak For?

Greens Pak can be used by anybody, including children. Greens Pak is something I love because I know I don't get nearly enough nutrients or even vitamins in my regular diet. Most people don't. I'm also an on-the-go kind of person who doesn't spend very much time in one place for long, so Greens Pak is perfect. As long as I have a bottle/glass of water (which is usually always on-hand), I can dump a pack in and have it.

I honestly can't think of a single person who would not benefit in some way or the other from drinking this stuff. Maybe not an infant. But I do think everybody would reap benefits from Greens Pak.

Taste

Another thing that sets Greens Pak apart from any other green juice in powder form I've ever had is the taste. Greens Pak is by far the most tolerable tasting green drink I've ever used. The packs I've been using are in berry flavor, which isn't bad. I've become accustomed to the taste of a freshly mowed lawn over the last year (from drinking wheatgrass), so tasting a flavored green is a bit new, although I have had flavored wheatgrass powder before and didn't like it. This is very easy to drink. You could even mix it with another flavored beverage to further mask the taste, although I doubt most people will be that bothered by it.

The berry flavor is sweet, so that is helpful. The sweet berry flavoring overpowers any funky vegetable or wheatgrass taste.

I simply mix mine with water and down it in one setting. The less water you use, the quicker you can get it down, but I do like to add the Greens Pak to a full glass of water -- which is more tolerable since it's not as strong tasting -- because it means I get at least one glass of water knocked out while also getting the Greens Pak down.

I've heard of people using juice like orange juice to mix with powders such as the Greens Pak.

Health Benefits:

It isn't even possible to list every health benefit from all these awesome ingredients in Greens Pak. I will mention a list of them, but if you are even more interested in know the health benefits, I recommend picking the ingredients and doing a search on "health benefits of [insert name of ingredient here]."

-Works as an anti-inflammatory thanks to the many anti-inflammatory ingredients.
-Antioxidant.
- Healthier bones, teeth and mind.
- Milk-Thistle (an ingredient in Greens Pak) has been used for liver disease and as a liver protectant, and skin tumor treatment. Also supports healthy kidney function, an antioxidant and strong anti-inflammatory.
- Soothe irritations and pain.
- Help with most digestive system upsets and irregularity.
- Stimulates digestive system.
- Gastrointestinal and circulatory health -- Japanese Knotweed Extract (an ingredient in Green's Pak) is great for gastrointestinal health and circulatory health. It works as a vessel for Resveratrol, which is also an ingredient in Greens Pak.
- Helps with bloating and stomach pains -- Turmeric (another ingredient) is known for its ability to decrease swelling, used for arthritis, heartburn, stomach pain, intestinal gas, bloating and more.

-Licorice root is also helpful for stomach, digestive problems. It also helps with PMS, craps, herpes, depression, cardiovascular disease.

Again, this is only a tiny fraction of how the ingredients in Greens Pak can benefit our health.

ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops

Most people don't get nutrients from food anymore. You guys must already know this.  Obviously, there's Monsanto's destruction and their GMOs, but even foods grown without Monsanto's preferred technique and GMO-flavors (that's a joke. GMOs are horrible), we still don't get the full nutrients due to the depletion of them in our soil...

So, we've been told (if not, we should be) that we need to look elsewhere to compensate for the lack of minerals in foods, which is exactly what I  have been doing.

I'm only about 2 years into the journey of learning and implementing real health into my... well, my health. You guys have been with me on most of this journey as I've shared so much about each condition I've been dealing with, shared my journey in working to "fix" it and everything else. At this point in my "journey," I'm working on getting trace minerals into my diet/health because, going back to the introduction to this post, we do not get these things from the foods we eat (or not nearly enough.)

So, through this learning process, I learned that while the earth is depleted of  those important minerals, the seas are not! (This is where ConcenTrace comes in. I'll explain in a moment.)

And that's why you see photos of these little bottles of clear fluid that say "ConcenTrace liquid Mineral Drops" on the label in this post. I'm using this product -- ConcenTrace -- to get the necessary minerals in my diet in order to be as healthy as I can. Plus, with all the other supplements (i.e. wheatgrass, vitamins, etc.) I've been religiously adding in, it's important to get all the minerals, vitamins and nutrients necessary for them all to work. For example, like taking calcium only and not the other vitamins and minerals necessary to actually make the calcium work. If these things make sense. You have to have supply your body with all of its needs in order for any of its nutrients, minerals and vitamins to actually do it any good. P.S. ConcenTrace is GMO-free!

Now, I'm going to share with you what ConcenTrace is, what it does, the benefits, what it tastes like, how to use it, how it makes me feel and everything else I have learned or experienced while using ConcenTrace.

What is ConcenTrace?
ConcenTrace Mineral Drops come from the Great Salt Lake (in Utah), which is potent, pristine and  considered one of the best areas for ionic trace minerals. These minerals consist of over 72 trace minerals. Those of which include

Calcium, Silicon, Selenium, Phosphorous, Iodine, Chromium, Manganese, Iron, Copper, Molybdenum, Zinc, Vanadium, Antimony, Barium, Beryllium, Bismuth, Boron, Bromine, Cadmium, Calcium, Carbonate, Cerium, Cesium, Chloride, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Dysprosium, Erbium, Europium, Gadolinium, Gallium, Germanium, Gold, Hafnium, Holmium, Indium, Iodine, Iridium, Iron, Lanthanum, Lead, Lithium, Lutetium, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Neodymium, Nickel, Niobium, Osmium, Palladium, Phosphorus, Platinum, Potassium, Praseodymium, Rhenium, Rhodium, Rubidium, Ruthenium, Samarium, Scandium, Selenium, Silicon, Silver, Sodium, Strontium, Sulfate/Sulfur, Tantalum, Tellurium, Terbium ,Thallium, Thorium, Thulium, Tin, Titanium, Tungsten, Vanadium, Ytterbium, Yttrium, Zinc, Zirconium, plus other naturally occurring trace minerals found in seawater.

 How to Use ConcenTrace

AdultsBegin taking 10 drops daily for 3 days. Then, each day after, increase it by adding 10 drops up to ½ teaspoon (40 drops) once or twice daily.

Children & Pets   Children (2 and up) as well as pets can be given ConcenTrace!  The dosage for children (remember 2 years & up) is to take 1 drop for every 5 pounds of body weight. Same dosing goes for pets. So, for my cat, who is about 6 pounds, I only give her one drop. For my 10 pound dog, it's 2 drops.

You can mix ConcenTrace with any beverage, as far as I know. You can also add it to food.

ConcenTrace can be used to re-mineralize water.

Adding 20-40 drops per gallon, and it compares to "mineral water," but actually has minerals in it (I'm skeptical that those store bought mineral waters even contain minerals.)

Or you can add 2-4 drops per glass.

For distilled water: (ConcenTrace remineralizes it):  1/4-1/2 teaspoon per gallon

Taste
ConcenTrace alone tastes very salty. And since it doesn't have any kind of putrid odor or flavor to it, it's very easy to consume without being put off by a taste or odor. It's not recommended to just consume it directly -- probably due to the strong salty taste -- but ConcenTrace recommends simply adding the drops into water or another beverage.

I personally can drink the ConcenTrace drops in any beverage without hardly noticing anything. I've had it in water, Dr. Pepper, coffee, cucumber water, tea, etc. It's virtually undetectable unless you are only drinking a tiny amount (say less than half a small saucer full of water+ConcenTrace) in order to really notice it. I've even added the drops to ConcenTrace's Green's Pak (which contains loads of fruit extracts vegetables, wheatgrass, etc.) with no problem.

I've been able to add it to the tiniest amount of water (a tiny shotglass amount of water) and barely be able to notice the ConcenTrace. The liduid is clear, nothing powdery or noticeable so there's no issues of dissolving it or having a funkly colored beverage, if that bothers you. Personally, I can drink almost any color -- hey, if you can down a cup of the green stuff (wheatgrass), you can handle clear colored liquids!

Sodium Content
* A lot of people are concerned with sodium content with this type of product. On the Trace Minerals Research (where you can literally read basically everything you could want to know about ConcenTrace including how they "make" it), it says they use their proprietary method (called ConcenFlo) that removes 99% of the sodium content.ConenTrace has low sodium content.

*Adding ConcenTrace to carbonated beverages*
I mentioned using ConcenTrace in Dr. Pepper and other carbonated. The reason isn't only to disguise taste, but because ConcenTrace can help prevent some of the damage caused from carbonated beverages, which was something I was fond of considering I am stuck on Dr. Pepper. Haven't been able to completely cut it from my diet. I'm down to one a day, though.

What are the Benefits of using ConcenTrace?
-ConcenTrace trace mineral drops can improve bone & joint health -- something I'm going for. People have experienced improvement in strengthening bones, joints & teeth, as well as elimination of calcium deposits.

-Remineralizes water, including distilled (distilling water removes all minerals, which is why so many people recommend against it.) so you can simply have your clean, distilled water & just add ConcenTrace to replace the minerals.

-Replaces electrolytes, which can increase energy, vitality, etc.

-Can be use externally as a rub, but it has to be diluted with water first. You can use it to improve skin problems and hair.

-Using ConcenTrace daily helps maintain energy levels

-Provides the body with the entire electrical system needed in order to function properly

-Improves and maintains pH balance in body.
Note: it's been said that disease thrives in acidic environments. Therefore, keeping the body pH balanced will reduce chances of disease. And we know that acidic pH is linked to cancer.

In turn, alkalinizing your body alone will improve health conditions. Toxins begin to be removed from the body once the pH balance isn't low (acidic.) If you want to know more about the benefits of alkalizing your body -- I highly recomend doing a search on that. No room to put it in this post, but perhaps in the future if ya'll are interested.

-Has a cleansing effect on the digestive system & will regulate.

-Helps assimilate vitamins (vitamins will be used by the body when combined with minerals.)

-Beneficial for remineralizing soil in gardens and for house plants when diluted with water.

-Beneficial for pets, too (see "how to use ConcenTrace to know how to dose for pets).

-"A recent study has shown that a few drops per glass balances soda to greatly reduce the potentially harmful effects of carbonation."
This is why I've been adding ConcenTrace Mineral Drops to my carbonated beverages!

-Efficient Magnesium supplement.

Here are the ingredients:

Ionic sea minerals from the Great Salt Lake in Utah, USA. Contains no other added ingredients.

Supplement Facts:
Serving size is 1/2 teaspoon (about 40 drops).  96 servings per container.

Magnesium 250 mg

My Results
I'm on day 3 of taking ConcenTrace trace minerals right now. I'll share my experience, and will continue to update as I see more & more changes.

Day 1: Didn't necessarily notice anything different, which was to be expected.

Day 2: I woke up (before even taking this day's "dose") and felt like I had slept like a rock. I was dead asleep for a solid 10 hours. Thought little of it.

Until Day 3: Which is today. When I woke up, I thought what on earth is with me. I never sleep that hard! And as soon as that thought crossed my mind, I remembered that it's a benefit a lot of people get from getting trace minerals! So, it's day three and the past 2 days, my sleep was awesome. Uninterrupted, hard sleep. It doesn't cause me to over-sleep, but to just sleep really well.

Besides that, I had one more change -- I felt good from the minute I woke up. I felt kind of excited and didn't even spend my usual 20 minutes in a heavy fog. I normally feel kind of heavy and just rough in general when I first wake up, but I felt plain old ready to go today.

It's 8PM right now and this has been a great Sunday. I'm still feeling pretty lovely. I took my "dose" of ConcenTrace about 35 minutes ago, and soon after, I went on a cleaning spree.

The thing is, I don't feel "hyped up" or anything, but as I was cleaning just moments ago (Sweeping, etc.) I felt unusually calm and had a good feeling about getting it done. Normally my cleaning sprees are sporadic and very uncalm. I'm all over the place and feel like I'm exhausting myself & like my mind & body is in super over-drive thinking of how I can just do it as quickly as possible and move on to do the next dreaded task as quickly as I can.

Tonight, I didn't feel that way. I don't know if it's the ConcenTrace or not, but I just felt like doing the tasks well! Not hurrying, but feeling happy to do them and spend time doing it. If this even makes sense. . .

So far, these are the things I noticed. I'm excited to know there's good changes taking place on the inside of me, so I'll keep an eye out & continue to update as I continue using ConcenTrace. I'd heard people say it makes them feel good & energetic, but I never actually expected to have this myself, so it's exciting.

Day 4  Not a whole lot different. I wouldn't say I felt quite as good as I did yesterday, but better than usual. I didn't wake up feeling super great as I did yesterday, but certainly not bad & not with a headache, so that's very good.

Two Weeks Later: I often wake up and think this "best freaking sleep ever!" I'm serious. I never knew it was possible to sleep so well! I sleep hard and as soon as I wake up, my mind is re-started. No crazy head fog. It's amazing. I've been sleeping like this ever since the 2-3 day of using ConcenTrace, and I'm taking the recommended dose still everyday. I fill up a large water bottle in the morning, and add the drops. Simple as that.

(P.S. I'll be updating the "my results" section as I go.)

NOTES:
Worries about heavy metals that are inevitably in many things we consume, including trace minerals arise. Reading into studies and other research on this has showed that having the necessary minerals (such as those in ConcenTrace) basically cancels out the metals you consume alongside them, by preventing the body from absorbing them in the first place. It's also said that there's no need to worry because the amount of metals such as mercury in trace minerals like ConcenTrace is so low that it shouldn't harm us, anyways. But knowing that those minerals "cancels out" the harm these metals could do is helpful. And as I've said, it's been thought that mineral deficiencies are available anytime there's any disease present in the body, so it makes sense to consume trace minerals to avoid these things.
