PS-12Cs Cross-Cut Shredder

Have any of you heard of the PS-12Cs Cross-Cut Shredder from http://www.fellowes.com/fellowes/site/products/
 that is supposed to be helpful in keeping you from identity theft? Do any of you lovelies plan to purchase one? I’ve been taking a look into them & they really seem like a good investment for those who at high risk of identity theft, but then again aren’t we all? My mother manages an office where items like these are crucial. I believe she’ll be purchasing one soon for her store. I can see how it would come in handy. Hmm.. if only it were pink!



So let’s go over exactly what this shredder product claims to do:

1. Shred 12 sheets per pass into 5/32” x 2” cross-cut particles (Security Level 3)

Patented SafeSense® Technology stops shredding when hands touch the paper opening (very good, very good!)

2. Slim profile fits neatly under desks. (Keep the office nice & tidy and the shredder out of the way.)

3. 4-gallon bin. (Holds a lotta paper?)



4. Price: 229.98 (WHOA! That’s high, but for businesses like I mentioned previously, I guess that’s not such a bad deal.)

Overall, sounds like a pretty good thing to have around. Sure beats sticking your mail into the fireplace!

Make your own bag free, cute, & fashionable by Recycling tips

 I'm back already my sparkly little rock-stars! I'm sorry, I really like my pet name for you lovelies! I realize that my posts are quite close together, but I've been so busy with school & working on orders without much help so I hope you will bear with me & not leave me hanging! lol I have a few really cool recycling tips for you. They're cute, cheap, good for the environment and can add to your style! Here they go...

  I grew up recycling. My mother had large boxes which were boxes that my baby-doll cradle came in as a kid. The boxes sat in the bottom of our pantry until this past year, she finally retired them! So yes, that means those baby-doll cradle-recycling boxes were about 19 years old! And somehow they held up all those years.

  Recycling was pretty much no different from using a garbage can to me since it' been there my entire life. We also kept every single plastic bag in their own space in the pantry. There was also a box for cans. Thanks to that, I've grown to recycle myself.

  I get that this can be a pretty boring topic, but I make it fun & I'll make it short for you sake. lol

  The first little idea I want to share with you is making handbags and storage use out of plastic bags. It can actually be a cute staple in your hand bag wardrobe or home.

 All you need to do is collect plastic bags of any color, size and sort from grocery stores, garbage bags and such. You probably have your own stash of them already. You will also need an iron and computer paper.

Cut the bags and fold them. You can fold anyway you like; small, large. Cut off the handles and make a change purse, keep them, or make your own.

  Place the folded plastic between two sheets of computer paper. One on top of the plastic and one on bottom. Make sure no plastic is exposed! Then iron for only a couple of seconds. This is called fusing. The edges should be fused together, if not iron an extra second or two.

  I like to cut small squares of different colored bags and then fuse them together to make a colorful piece. I wish I had pics to show you,  but I'm expirementing with adding my own designs, then fusing. I don't know how safe it is or if it will work, but will let you know how it turns out.

 These are un-detailed instructions. If you decide to do this yourself, make sure you do enough research & follow real step-by-step instructions. (I can do numbered, simple step-by-step instructions for you if you will let me know & I'll post them!)

  ONLY FUSE PLASTIC IN A WELL VENTILLATED AREA! DO NOT INHALE OR LEAN YOUR FACE CLOSE TO THE IRON OR PLASTIC!

RECYCLING TIP #2

If you're new to recycling, try recycling paper for a month and see just how much you save on garbage bags just by recyclying paper! We would go through at least twice as many garbage bags if we didn't recycle paper. All the mail you get & paper you throw away makes such an enormous difference!
