eM Perfumes from Foliem

The photo above is a little paper with 4 eM Perfume samples from Foliem. I'll give a description of each below. Starting with....

 Empassioned

"Love without limits, be eMpassioned" Dance as if you’ve never danced before, move with the grace of a ballerina, and feel as if the DJ is playing just for you. Through the use of natural scents containing strawberry and vanilla, eMpassioned elevates the soul to new levels of desire, lifting a women to her true potential."

eMpassioned is the little sample vial you see in my photo with a pink color behind it. I believe this is my favorite out of the four.

My first impression of eMpassioned is somewhat licorice-like, smelling it straight from the tube. Once applied to my skin, it takes on an extremely baby powdery scent, which happens almost instantly. It's a delicate, floral-ish scent.

A couple of swipes of eMpassioned on my wrist and I was able to get very faint whiffs of the fragrance at certain times like when I had my wrist near my face. It isn't a strong scent at all. It smells so very sweet, which is something I like, but I'm having a hard time putting a finger on any particular notes in the eM perfumes!

The dry down of eMpassioned is somewhat  vanilla, only possibly musky scent. It definitely has a subtle incense type of smell going on, and it plays it out really well. The base notes must include some kind of amber going on because it's a little noticeable.

It reminds me so much of Bath and Body Works lotion called Dark Kiss. Only to me, Dark Kiss is so horribly strong that a tiny application of the lotion to my legs will send a migraine right my way quickly. I like the scent, but can't ever wear it without a killer headache. Since eMpassioned is much more subtle of a scent, I don't experience the headache. It's the almost musky, super sweet powder scent and I'm not usually a fan of that type of scent, but this is a nice one for me. My skin brings out the sweetest notes in any perfume, so this may not be as sweet on everyone.

Empowered

"Write your own rules, be eMpowered" Let this scent take you away to a world with nothing but aromas found naturally on planet earth. Containing clean earthy scents including patchouli and jasmine, eMpowered locates your inner confidence and showers it upon everyone around you. Whether on the town or business as usual, this aroma is ideal for nearly any occasion."

My first impression of Empowered is again the licorice-like scent. I have noticed that in a few of these. However, it usually fades and transforms into something totally different once you've passed the first stage of wear.

Like eMmoral, Empowered too reminds me a lot of a Penhaligon scent. Empowered smells so woody on my skin upon first applying. Then it gets extremely soapy or men's deodorant like. It's slightly bitter, not sweet at all and has a tiny tinge of that Old Spice odor. I definitely notice Patchouli and a bit of earthyness, but it's mostly manly, like a man's deo.

eMmoral

"Nobody's Perfect, be eMmoral"

Find ecstasy in doing whatever you wish, and forget your obligations.  Lose all inhibitions and find nothing but pleasure.  With a combination of captivating ingredients such as cedarwood and geranium, eMmoral is a fresh new scent that provokes a feeling of rebellion."

While that little quote/description of the perfume isn't exactly enticing, the actual scent is.
I really, really like eMmoral. My first impression is very woody. Like fresh cedar almost. I adore that scent. It's a clean, fresh fragrance. Kinda makes me picture walking into a new house.

The drydown is unfortunately a tad bitter on my skin, but geranium tends to do that on me. eMmoral reminds me a lot of one of Penhaligon's citrusy scents, I just don't quite remember which one it is. It's very similar though. The cedar wood is a beautiful fragrance though and to sweeten up the almost bitter dry down, adding either eMpassioned or eMpowered layers wonderfully.

Out of all four of these fragrances, I think eMmoral lasts the longest. It's a tad stronger than the rest and I love that none of these give me a migraine. eMmoral lasts a few hours on my skin, but certainly isn't as long lasting as something like Nollie.

The dry down seems to have notes of roses.

eMpulsive

"Live your life, be eMpulsive"

Aimed at those who do whatever they want, this exciting new scent brings you back to the moment where anything imaginable can happen. In our Oriental addition, eMpulsive captures a soft hint of pear combined with rose and other essential oils to result in a particularly invigorating fragrance."

eMpulsive is a unique scent. I don't think it smells like your typical fragrances. My first impression is citrus-y, nothing sweet at all really, but not exactly bitter. I also smell something licorice-like in this one too.

Once on my skin it takes on an almost sweet tart-ish scent, while still holding on to the licorice. And the dry down -- which by an hour's worth of wear, is hardly even there any longer --  is sweeter than it began and has the tiniest powder-y scent. I don't really notice a specific note in this. I think it mixes nicely with eMpassioned, which reminds me of Dark Kiss. So these are definitely worthy of layering, especially since for me, the eM Perfumes do not last long. In fact, I find that my $14 Nollie lasts for an entire day longer. If I spray Nollie on (3 spritzes), even after a shower, I'll still have small hints of the dry down occasionally. eMpulsive totally disappears in less than 2 hours.

Mistral Wild Blackberry Collection!

What's that? This gorgeous, luxurious looking bottle is the home of a perfume--Wild Blackberry from Mistral Soap. The simple, but gorgeous bottle of purple looks much lovelier than the sample vial I have, hence the reason I used Mistral Soap's photo of the perfume rather than the photo of my vial of perfume. Same perfume, only in different homes!

Despite how lovely I think this perfume looks, how do I feel about the smell? Well since Mistral Soap was kind enough to send over samples, I am fortunate enough to be able to tell you just how this smells.

Talk about unique! Wild Blackberry had to be the sweetest perfume. With notes of vanilla, sweet grenadine, lemon, orange and violet, the scent is innocent, yet mysterious, in my choice of words. When I first sniffed it, I immediately loved it and began excessively applying it to my wrists, neck and chest! I am not the type to ever cover myself in perfume. Only light sprays will do for me as I get such migraines from anything too 'in my face' or strong. Perfume doesn't have to be strong to irritate my poor head. I have to be choosy. I prefer a perfume that ever so subtly dances around and fills my nose when I move the right way, not a perfume that attaches to my nostrils and won't allow me to smell anything else.

You shouldn't smell a person coming your way, you should get a nice, subtle whiff of them as they pass, a whiff that intrigues you to follow. That is how I like it, anyway.

Perfumes that work best for my personal scent are fragrances with sweet, lightly floral, fruity notes. Some perfumes that work well on me are Nollie, DKNY Pure, and my own hand-made perfume Enchantress. These are all very fruity and sweet. However, a peppery bite is something I love! Think Crabtree and Evelyn's Citrus Coriander line. That's something I like.

The first scent of Wild Blackberry really perked me up. I loved the super sweet, fruity scent. Like I said, I went crazy, rubbing it all over! Seconds later, the scent began changing with my own body heat. It changed a bit after a while and mixed with my skin, the musk notes really came out.

What I'm really fond of is the Wild Blackberry never irritated me, even though I did drown myself in it! Once the musky started really coming out, I was prepared for a headache. It never did bother me. It's now after 1 AM and it's doing well. I smell it every once in a while, but it never overpowers my senses. It's super warm after it absorbs. There's also something really woodsy about this! The notes are so unique.

I have never smelled anything like the Mistral Perfumes, but lately I've spent so incredibly much time in my dentist's office, as you may know. When I'm leaving and have to deal with the payment lady, she always smells SO strong. After I had my wisdom tooth pulled and was in the car, I said "I think her smell is on me!" It wasn't a bad smell, but sweet and still sour. I really don't know how to explain the sour part. Not like sour food or clothing, but something like a wood that I've smelled while wet. Sour is the only word I can find for it. It's not a bad smell, like I said, but it's overpowering when I'm at the front desk paying her.

The reason I told that story is because after having worn the Wild Blackberry for an hour, it really started smelling identical to what she smelled like! Only this is not overpowering or strong. I put a lot on today and my partner couldn't smell it just by being in the room with me, but when he hugged me or while in the truck, he could lightly smell it. It was strange how it smelled so much like her though. Wild Blackberry has a woodsy scent to it, but not that sour wet wood scent that she smells like. I almost want to ask her what perfume she wears when I go for my next appointment this month!

I can smell the musk and lightly the vanilla when it's absorbed into my skin, but the orange and lemon is silent on me. This is a perfume that breaks down nicely and doesn't leave your skin  with a stink after the dry-down. Hours and hours, this stuff lasts. On me, it gets warmer and more subtle like most perfumes. It never stinks though. There's something about it that keeps bringing the word baby powder to my tongue. That's what I told my Lovie. However, it doesn't smell like baby powder, but the sweetness of it is similar. Maybe this sweetness is the Grenadine?

The name Wild Blackberry clearly leaves the impression of blackberries and the scent of them. That name--Wild Blackberry along with the note vanilla, made me think something along the lines of Bath and Body Works' Black Rasberry Vanilla line. I really dislike the way B&BW lotion feels on my skin, but the scents Black Rasberry Vanilla and Coconut Lime Verbena are among my favorites. This, I believe is what drew me to Mistral Soap's Wild Blackberry perfume. Of course Wild Blackberry and Black Rasberry are different, but I still wondered if the Wild Blackberry would love me as much as Black Rasberry Vanilla.

Comparing the two, they are nothing alike. After sampling two Mistral Soap perfumes, I've come to realize that they are luxurious, high quality kind of scents.

"Inspired by the berries brought to sell at the fabled markets in Provence, which are so fresh that the scent of the earth and bramble still lingers! We capture these aromatic notes of musk and green vine blended in perfect accord with sweet, summer-ripened berries."

Mistral Soap's Wild Blackberry Collection consists of: Wild Blackberry Perfume and Wild Blackberry French Soap Bar. The soaps come in regular and petite, incase you happen to prefer a mini.

After smelling the Wild Blackberry Perfume and another lovely perfum from Mistral Soap, I can imagine the Wild Blackberry French Soap is to die for.

The vial of perfume sample came attached to a small card-note. Printed on it is: "Bewitching and harmonious, Mistral Eau De Parfum captures our most treasured scents in their purest form. Highly covered botanicals, exotic woods and spices, rare flowers and essences of ripe fruits contribute to the many notes of these fine fragrances."

Mistral Soap has a beautiful variety of bath and body products. The fragrance line is very nice! There are several fragrances to choose from. Be sure to check them all out!

PS-12Cs Cross-Cut Shredder

Have any of you heard of the PS-12Cs Cross-Cut Shredder from http://www.fellowes.com/fellowes/site/products/
that is supposed to be helpful in keeping you from identity theft? Do any of you lovelies plan to purchase one? I’ve been taking a look into them & they really seem like a good investment for those who at high risk of identity theft, but then again aren’t we all? My mother manages an office where items like these are crucial. I believe she’ll be purchasing one soon for her store. I can see how it would come in handy. Hmm.. if only it were pink!

So let’s go over exactly what this shredder product claims to do:

1. Shred 12 sheets per pass into 5/32” x 2” cross-cut particles (Security Level 3)

Patented SafeSense® Technology stops shredding when hands touch the paper opening (very good, very good!)

2. Slim profile fits neatly under desks. (Keep the office nice & tidy and the shredder out of the way.)

3. 4-gallon bin. (Holds a lotta paper?)

4. Price: 229.98 (WHOA! That’s high, but for businesses like I mentioned previously, I guess that’s not such a bad deal.)

Overall, sounds like a pretty good thing to have around. Sure beats sticking your mail into the fireplace!

Let me know if you check into it!

Please note: I am working with One2One Network and Fellowes. All opinions are totally my own.

My PeArL of the day - Crabtree & evelynn

Hello beauties,

I'm sorry that y'all haven't heard much from me lately. I've had a lot going on between business stuff, working on orders, running on no sleep & my mother being robbed again. I do have a pearl of the day for you though! Later, hopefully I will be able to post a little more detailed story of my latest, but for now I promise you don't want to miss this PeArL!

Y'all know I'm always on the hunt for the best & once again I'm bringing it to you!

This is the CITRON Honey and Coriander body lotion and skin cleansing shower gel from www.crabtree-evelyn.com  They are 100% natural and I really loved them! This is only the second body lotion I've used that has not left my hands and body sticky or greasy. Also the scent is wonderful! I give it a 5 out of 5! It has a "woody, citrus, scent with a bite of pepper." You wouldn't be able to tell just by the name, but it really is good stuff. I loved the scent too! It's perfect for dry skin. I've been using it after tanning and it's worked perfectly to keep my skin from feeling tight, dry, and peeling! I love that you can use it all over without getting a sticky residue or unpleasant scent.

Pros:
1. It's all natural.
2. Smells amazing!
3. The scent seemed to be very energizing/uplifting. Yes, that is possible when you purchase from a manufacturer that puts hard work into their products.
4. Perfect for dry skin! I'm usually only able to find relief in Jergen's lotion when it comes to dryness, but this lotion does the trick without the sticky and with a great smell!
5. Super long lasting scent. When I say long lasting, I mean I still get whiffs of the nice scent even the next night when I'm ready to shower again.
6. Super long lasting moisturization. I hate that most all lotions only seem to help dry skin for a few minutes, but this one works for what seems to be days!

Con's
-Not a single one!

I really hope you check out their other great products! You can find them for great prices at www.crabtree-evelyn.com

They're having an amazing sale right now too so you better get there quick! They're bath products are unbelievably outstanding!

My PeArL of the day... Sunday

My PeArL of the day today is....
I tried the new jergens overnight repair lotion and IT'S AMAZING! I've never in my life, used a lotion that worked so well. As soon as I rubbed a small amount on my arms and legs, they looked like brand new! It made my hands so soft and it seemed to reduce the appearance of my smile lines on my face. Yes, I even used it on my face! It's for your body but, I had to try it on my face and it worked better than any facial moisturizer I've used. I think I'll continue to use it on my face. It doesn't cause breakouts and I woke up with a really nice glow.

Also, for my hands, they were still super silky even after I slept then washed them. It doesn't leave your skin greasy or sticky and it's very light. I am a big fan of bath and body works lotion, but only because of the scents. I actually hate the sticky-ness they leave behind. But, this jergens lotion doesn't do that. I also like victoria's secret's Halo body lotion and it's wonderful but, far too expensive. I would even go as far as to say that the Jergen's worked equally well, maybe even better.

And, another huge plus, it smells very good! It's not as good as some of bath and body work's scents but hay, I'd choose silky skin over scented any day. That's what perfumes for right?

You can get any of the Jergen's skincare line at most stores like Wal Mart for a good price. I have also use all of the other jergen's lotions and love them as well.
