Answers to two of the most common questions regarding
oil-pulling:
I discuss natural remedies a lot, and one topic I’ve gotten
a lot of emails on is oil-pulling. Most of us have either read Dr Weston A.
Price’s work or the book Teeth Total by Dr Judd or something else, and were
left with some questions about the instructions regarding oil-pulling. I always
answer you guys’ emails, but I thought I’d also give a brief couple of common
questions some answering here on my blog.
Why is it recommended to Oil-Pull first Thing in
the AM?
People tend to think if that since it’s recommended
to oil-pull right when you wake up, that if you forget, it’s useless and won’t “work”
unless you do it first thing in the morning. This isn’t true. Oil-pulling
always works, no matter what time of day it is or whether you’ve eaten.
The reason it’s recommended to pull in the
morning is simply because it’s easier to remember. If you do it any other time
of the day, you’ll still get results. Promise. I oil-pull when I first wake up some days. Other days I
do it before bed, and other times in the middle of the day.
Why is it Recommended to Oil-Pull on an empty
stomach?
Again, this recommendation leads most people to believe
pulling will only “work” if you do it on an empty stomach. I used to think the
same thing, but it’s recommended because when you first begin oil-pulling, some
people experience nausea, so that’s why doing it on an empty stomach is
recommended.
I hope that clears up some confusion in the oil-pulling
world. If you guys have any questions about it or about my own results, or
about what types of oils are best, leave them in the comments section or get in
touch with me via email. I always respond and am happy to answer questions.
And, please leave me your own oil-pulling
experiences/results in the comments section! I love to hear from you guys.
Happy pullin',
Kendra
