Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion

This Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion is good for all skin types as well as men and women.

When I first got the Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion, I tried it out on my arm first since I had already applied makeup to my face. As I was rubbing the small amount of lotion into my skin, I could feel the smoothness and could see a difference right there on my arm! It kind of gives a smooth, soft appearance, which was nice because most lotion doesn't actually enhance the look of your skin. It's very hydrating and leaves behind the slightest sheen.

I can't tell you guys how many times I've bought what I was sure was a great lotion only to have it leave my face looking so greasy and often times even leaving a tacky residue on my skin. I hate that! So this is one thing I instantly loved about the Seabuckthorn Herbal lotion -- it doesn't leave any residue at all. In fact, when I run my hands over my skin after applying, I can't feel any kind of product there. It just feels like smooth skin.

Another thing I adore about the Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion is that I can use it without it affecting my makeup. I apply it at night or when I first get up (if I forgot the night before or need extra hydration before applying powder) and I can jump straight into applying makeup since it absorbs well and quickly into my skin. I usually add some powder and often times a tinted moisturizer to kind of even out the look of my complexion. The Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion does just fine underneath makeup. It doesn't cause it to roll off into little balls (this has happened to me with many facial lotions!)

I'm really happy that I can apply without any of these worries. I already have shiny skin on my forehead, nose & sometimes cheeks, so that makes it really hard for me to be able to use just any facial lotion.

Before I forget, I also want to mention the smell of the Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion! Holy heavens! It smells great. It isn't extremely noticeable and not strong at all. The scent is very subtle, but I had to sniff it & I just love the scent. I really don't know a way to describe it. I suppose it's the seabuckthorn berries I smell, but I'm very fond of it!

Pump-top for easy, appropriate-amount dispensing.

The Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion has a thin-ish consistency. It feels slightly like a serum when I rub it in. It isn't very rich, cream or greasy like a hand and body or foot lotion is, so this was a sure sign that it wouldn't be greasy or thick on my face -- a necessity for me. However, with thin lotions, sometimes I've noticed they don't hydrate my flaky, dry areas as much. So I had the chance to really put this stuff to the test being that my skin is both (oily and dry) so it's kind of high maintenance and has a lot of needs. I applied a larger amount on places that are more dry like my jaw area & nose and then less on my forehead. It did the trick perfectly! No oilyness and it took care of my dry areas like magic.  This Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion, as well as other Seabuckthorn products from Natura-Nutra has been my absolute favorite facial lotion. I've been using it nightly for a month, I'd say. I wrote part of this post within the week I'd gotten it & wanted to see how well I still liked it after a good few weeks. Good news! It still remains my favorite.

"Natura-NutraTM Sea Buckthorn Herbal Lotion (face)  is a caring formula with Sea Buckthorn seed oil, Sea Buckthorn bio-flavonoids, plant-derived provitamin B5 and vitamin B3.

Apart from its profuse nutrients and antioxidants, Sea Buckthorn seed oil is also an effective natural sun screen. Our skin is frequently exposed to harsh environmental elements that trigger aging. Natura-Nutra Sea Buckthorn Herbal Lotion delivers optimal skin care that protects the skin against the myriad aging factors, making your skin look younger with elasticity and radiance."

The Seabuckthorn Herbal Lotion contains
  • Seabuckthorn seed oil, which has some amazing properties for both your skin and your body (when you take it internally.)
  • Plant-derived Vitamin B5 and B3
  • Seabuckthorn bioflavanoids.
Now, I want to talk a little about those particular ingredients. Bear with me because I tend to get excited, but I'll try to be brief and to the point.

Seabuckthorn seed oil and seabuckthorn bioflavanoid benefits :
  • Protect skin against damage caused by stress, pollution, age, etc.
  • Causes visible signs of healthy, vibrant skin. Here's how it works, according to Gary (MD) and Robert  Goldfaden: "Bioflavonoids have the ability to neutralize reactive oxygen species by donating one of their electrons, thus stabilizing the molecule and breaking the oxidative chain.2 This can result in visible signs of healthy, more vibrant skin."
  • Contains plant-derived Vitamin B5 and 3

That lotion looks awfully white for having sea buckthorn oil in it. Sea buckthorn is a rich orange color ... Does it say how much sea buckthorn oil is in that lotion?
