Above is a photo of the Seabuckthorn Facial Cleanser. You can see it comes in a clear bottle with a pump top for ease and convenience. The lid was locked when it arrived, so there's no worries about safety or spilling. 

The consistency of the Seabuckthorn Facial Cleanser appears somewhat soapy, like a liquid soap and has tiny granules mixed in for exfoliation. They're very gentle, so they're not going to upset super sensitive skin. 

The Seabuckthorn Facial Cleanser has a very subtle, invigorating orange aroma that's actually very pleasant. It doesn't linger on skin though, so no worries for those with sensitivities to scents. 

I'll definitely want to say this: the cleanser will last for such a long time, and you really only need like half a pump, if even that! When I first used it, I squirted two pumps into my hand, expecting to need as much as I did with my previous facial cleanser/exfoliator and yikes! That was over kill. I literally had enough from those two pumps to lather up my entire body! So instead of wasting, I cleaned all over (arms, legs, belly, neck and back!) with it and from then on was careful not to overdo it. Not that it will hurt to clean your entire body with it, it'd actually be good, but it is a facial cleanser.

The granules weren't as scratchy and scrapey as what my previous exfoliator had, so I massaged all over my face and then used a wash cloth for deeper exfoliation, and found that that was not necessary. While it didn't ever become abrasive or too harsh, I have since learned that it exfoliates perfectly without the need of scrubbing my skin with a cloth, which is what I automatically did since I always had to with my old cleanser in order to exfoliate. This already contains ingredients that do it for you. All you need to do is simply rub onto the skin in circular motions.

I love this cleanser! My face feels so clean! It has been a long while since I've used a cleanser that left me feeling so truly clean. Normally, I use my old exfoliators and cleansers and will spend a few minutes after rinsing, using a washcloth to clean off excess stuff like makeup and just a weird grime left behind. It always felt like my face wasn't ever truly cleaned, but I can feel this cleaning instantly. I'm not left with any grime. I can take a white muslin cloth, run it over my damp skin after washing and rinsing with this Facial Cleanser and there's no grime, dirt or makeup left behind! Also, with my other soaps, even a natural one, I could gently scratch my forehead or cheek and there'd be a slightly off-white colored grime left under my nail! Never could figure out why no matter how much I scrubbed, my face still had this.

Then, I'd be left with a few flaky patches once my skin dried. I noticed when switching to a natural bar soap, this was better, but still had the grime like it never really cleaned dirty away.

I am such a clean freak! I like spotless. I like squeaky clean. I like to see not a speck of my messy glitter eyeshadow and the awful black bits of mascara left behind on my face after washing, and the Seabuckthorn Facial Cleanser does exactly what I like -- no mistakes. 

I'm left with nice, squeaky clean skin. No dry patches and no tightness (rejoice!) However, with my funky oily forehead, nose and chin, but normally dry-ish cheeks, plus the fact that I've used moisturizers in hopes to soften and anti-age my entire life means I do still prefer a moisturizer before bed and after washing. So I have been using this Seabuckthorn Facial Cleanser, then adding the Seabuckthorn Hydrating Serum, and then lastly finishing off right before bed with a couple swipes of the super rich Facial Cream from Seabuck Wonders (previously reviewed). 

I love this skincare routine! I love both the cleanser and the facial cream with my entire heart and don't even get me started on the body lotion! I don't think I've ever been quite this excited over skincare. 

I think most of my excitement is over the effectiveness of the Facial Cleanser and the added benefits of the Facial Cream. Both are very pleasing. I'm not used to a facial cream leaving me non-sticky or non-greasy and I'm certainly not used to a Facial Cleanser feeling like it actually cleansed.
 






What is Seabuckthorn?


Seabuckthorn, also known as Hippophae L. is one of seven species of a berry found in Europe and Asia. Here, I've found a photo of what Seabuckthorn berries look like. On the lovely, bright orange packaging of Seabuck Wonders' there's photos of the orange berries too, so it was nice to see what they actually look like, since I'd never know about Seabuckthorn at all until just this past month.
