What is Seabuckthorn?
Seabuckthorn, also known as Hippophae L. is one of seven species of a berry found in Europe and Asia. Here, I've found a photo of what Seabuckthorn berries look like. On the lovely, bright orange packaging of Seabuck Wonders' there's photos of the orange berries too, so it was nice to see what they actually look like, since I'd never know about Seabuckthorn at all until just this past month.

The Seabuckthorn berries are edible and nutritious, which is why Seabuck Wonders sell all kinds of Seabuckthorn berry and oil products to help in all sorts of health concerns or just for better health in general!
Seabuckthorn berries contain phytochemicals, which may very well mean they can have some very amazing benefits for health since phytochemicals are anti-inflammatory, may prevent cancer and are great for digestive system ailments and many more! The fruit is high in Vitamin C with an average content of about 15 times greater than that found in oranges! It also is high in caratenoids, Vitamin E, Amino Acids, Polyphenols, Flavanoids, etc.
Seabuckthorn has a history in traditional medicine, and has been used to treat all sorts of disease. It's been used as an herbal remedy in China and Asia for centuries to treat ailments such as coughs, blood circulation, digestion, to alleviate pain and more. Parts of the plant, the leaves and bark have been used to treat diarrhea as well as dermatological disorders.
Seabuckthorn has hemostatic and anti-inflammatory properties, which is why it's also been used in medications for pulmonary, cardiac, blood, gastrointestinal and metabolic disorders in Indian, Chinese and Tibetan medicines.
The Seabuckthorn Body Lotion contains a highly concentrated infusion of Omega 3, 6, 9 and 7.

Omega 6, also contained in the Body Lotion is great because it too can help calm skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema, acne, psoriasis, etc. It's an anti-inflammatory.
Omega 7, also known as Seabuckthorn oil -- derived from Seabuckthorn. Another ingredient in Seabuckthorn Body Lotion. Omega 7 has been used to promote healthy skin and hair for centuries. It also has been used to treat wounds, promote healing of skin sores, burns, eczema. Used to fight wrinkles, dryness, promotes tissue regeneration, etc. Omega 7 has anti-microbiological and anti-inflammatory properties. The photo above was my attempt at showing you the little tamper evident safety seal thingy. This means no spillage too!
And here I was able to capture the most perfect photo of what the Body Lotion actually looks like. You can see a little just how creamy and rich this stuff is! When I first plopped some onto my arm, I knew. I just knew it'd be fabulous.
Today, before writing this, I was using the Seabuckthorn Body Lotion all over after showering when I got to thinking of how it compares to my other body lotions. I came to this conclusion: compared to my "high end" body lotions such as Bath and Body Works, VS and Avon and all those others, this actually absorbs into the skin.
Usually, I use B&BW because I love the scents. I actually ain't fond of the lotion or its effectiveness from that company at all. Not one bit. It lays on top of the skin and stays sticky, never absorbs and hours later, if I get in the hot tub or take a bath, holy dangit! It turns into slime all over my body and the tub! That is because Bath and Body Works and those other "high end" lotions do not absorb, and therefore do nothing beneficial to your skin. In fact, they do do something to your skin -- harm the hell out of it. Just look at those ingredients. Yet their scents have had me hooked for years (thank you mother!) Lol.
I've used a lot of other lotions and even natural ones, but the naturals I've used all felt really tremendously watery! And one even downright stunk to high heavens. I did not love them. But this is bliss. I have pretty dry skin, especially on my legs and I like to keep them moisturized because of that and because they look so lovely when lotioned up and it does bring out the color of my complexion.
Lets go back to my experience with other lotions like B&BW for a second. That is what I'd been using previously and I lotion up after showering. I remember just a week ago, having to run back to the shower to rinse the crud, dirty and hair stuck to my previously lotioned legs! This is because I used B&BW lotion on my body and legs, then went to working vaccuuming and a tiny bit of yard work. EW! It leaves such a residue that my leg skin sticks together when I sit and it causes dirt and pet hair to glue to my legs. That is disgusting.
You know what though? Seabuck Wonders' Body Lotion here does not do that, and I can say that confidantly because just a day ago I accidentally squeezed out a HUGE clump of the lotion, and when I tried to use the bottle to suck it back up, here came another huge amount! Lol. So I did what I could and rubbed it in all over my body, but still had a good bit of excess. It dried! It actually all absorbed into my skin and this was like heaven. I could sit in the floor and roll around with my pets and have no residue that causes their hair and dirt to glue to me.
Instead, the Seabuckthorn Body Lotion is intensely moisturizing, and might I just say, it works wonders on dry feet! I've been using it all over my hands, feet and body. Works lovely and leaves skin looking really incredible. I also noticed a little something else I want to point out. I had rubbed some of the Seabuckthorn Hydrating Serum on the back of my hand and later rubbed the Seabuckthorn Body lotion on the back -- I'd just gotten them and was trying them out on my hands -- and I noticed how super freakishly soft my hand was! I don't know if this was due to having both serum and lotion on, but I compared the back of that hand to my other one and I had less knuckle wrinklies! It actually looked smooth and neat, not dry with those little wrinklies all over the hands. Very interesting little experiment.
