Sliquid Silk

Above is a picture of the sample packet of Sliquid Organics Botanically Infused lubricant. Picking up sample packets of lubricant before committing to a full sized bottle is always a good idea as there are so many different lubricants for different needs. It's best to sample until you find what fits your needs. I've heard some serious hype and raving about Sliquid's products. Since they are a bit pricey, I've only used sample packs. Sliquid is a company that is dedicated to bringing women the best and safest ingredients possible. Afterall, parabens aren't that big of a turn on, right? Strangely enough, I've managed to become quite fond of Liquid Silk which is stuffed with parabens *shame on me*.

I wanted less paraben and more healthy. I imagined since Liquid Silk was a favorite that Sliquid's line would impress me just as much. I'm super interested in trying their lubricants and especially the bath products, but now that I've sampled one lube, I'm not sure I'd pay the price for a full sized bottle.

Sliquid is a hybrid lubricant. It is both silicone and water based. It contains Dimethicone which lead me to the assumption that it would create that silky feel like Liquid Silk and other silicone lubes. However, I don't feel any silky, slipperyness like I do with Liquid Silk.

Stil Sliquid has some very amazing things about it.

It's free of parabens and glycerin(yay!) So for those of you who are prone to UTI's, yeast infections and irritation, this is a wonderful lubricant. It contains healing ingredients and is great for dryness.

INGREDIENTS:

Purified water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Aloe Barbadensis, Natural Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Extracts Hibiscus, Flax, Green Tea and Sunflower Seed, Isopropyl Palmitate, Polysorbate 20, Dimethicone, Emolient Ester, Phenoxyethanol (Rose ether)

Sliquid is a bit creamy and runny, but will stay where you put it. It's white in color, resembles sperm just a little and feels natural. It lasts a while, but not as long as Liquid Silk. With Sliquid, I needed to reapply a few times throughout a 50 minute period of time. I love that it leaves behind no residue, greasyness, etc. With the healing and non-harmful ingredients and no slimey or sticky residue afterward, I felt fine leaving it there for a while before showering. If a lot is used it can dry a tiny bit sticky after a couple of hours.

Sliquid feels amazing when used for massage! I love using it for that. It's also soothing on sun burns. It is an incredible lubricant and will prove very useful for some, especially with dryness. Unlike most lubricants, Sliquid does penetrate the skin and absorb, but it does so quickly. Still, even if it's absorbed quicker than you want, it's working nicely for your skin. While it does create a nice glide, I wouldn't call it slippery or silky.

Here's what the back of the sample pack says:
"Created to help your body feel the natural sensations of skin to skin contact. Ideal to use on delicate body tissue, and for women with sensitivities."

"Offering women a healthier choice, this glycerin and paraben-free lubricant has been blended with certified organic botanicals that heal, support and rejuvenate your body."
