Earlier tonight, I turned the radio on in my car and this song was on that rambled something about "show me a dirty picture." I thought WTF?! How is this music? I changed the station and there was that stupid song that goes "let me see ya peacock," by Katy Perry. After the 3rd try, which was something by lady blah-blah, I gave up. I said screw it. But, I couldn't stop thinking, how does that classify as music? It has no meaning to the song, nothing that has emotion or reality. Nothing people can relate to.

In my opinion, good music is something that moves you, makes you think differently, or at least makes you think period. It has lyrics with meaning. This new crap has no meaning. I don't even think it should be called music. And honestly, if you think about it, all those songs will be pushed aside and never thought of again. You'll find the albums of these once-upon-a-time-stars in the crap bin at an old rinky-dink store with "Going out of business!" sign at the door.

What ever happen to good music? Bands like nirvana, and other's around that time, have real lyrics about real life. Of course there are tons of newer generation bands that are amazing. I love three days grace, breaking benjamin, taking back sunday,

I agree 100%. I cant stomach much on the radio.
In fact I get kinda furious about these "artists".

I just posted the effects nirvana had on me in my other blog.

You have to dig to find good music, I'm ok with that though.

Wow, how much i agree. I'm right there with STO. How about how Justin Beiber (sp?) stated that he believes that he is our generations Kurt Cobain? What a joke.
