Ask Yourself This One Question to Change Every Aspect of Your Life Instantaneously

While spending my lazy Sunday evening taking some time to recuperate, I was inspired by something particularly worthy of sharing -- an article by a business mentor and coach in Vancouver, who I follow and read diligently as I try to build my career (and blog.)

"What is your legacy?" the question asked, along with a photo (pictured at the right) photograph that loudly proclaims "Keep Calm And Stay Focused."

Legacy:  "Something that someone has achieved that continues to exist after they stop working or die"     -(As defined by MacmillandDictionary)

Exactly what I needed to hear on a Sunday -- the day of the week I spend organizing my upcoming week, and gathering myself for the work that will come first thing Monday.  For a writer, this often means completing random bits of work like gathering research or spending 4 hours setting up a new client, etc.

Back to the question, though.

Everyone wants to have a thrilling, spectacular legacy. It’s what you leave behind in the world that people will remember you by, in this sense of the word "legacy," anyways.

"I’ve become an agent of change using social media so if one man can make a difference and it’s me, that is what I’d want to be remembered for while others may think passing a viable business onto their children is a great legacy. It is as long as your kids see it as their vision and focus."

That simple question "what is your legacy," and the following brief paragraph had me pondering my own answer all day long.

I've always known that I wanted to be remembered as a good person, but I haven't ever really given this legacy stuff any deep thought. Until now.

And now that I have, I've conjured up a long, detailed list of the many ways I want to be remembered, and what I want to be remembered for.

Take the famous Mother Theresa, for example. Just think of the legacy that woman left behind.

A legacy that will never, ever die. It will reach every generation until the end of time, and probably then some. Mother Theresa was like the ultimate do-gooder, the ultimate "good" human being that I think, somewhere within all of us, we strive to be like.

As a matter of fact, while pondering the legacy question, I arrived at another conclusion of my own -- I think all of us humans have a natural inclination towards being what most consider to be a "good" human being. One who's kind, compassionate, loving. One who does these things solely from the heart, without thinking of what they may get in return.

It's easy to make decisions based around what we might get out of it, but to really do things from your heart only...

There's nothing better, in my opinion.

That is what I want to be my own legacy, if I had to sum it all up in one easy nut-shell, which is next-to-impossible.

However, I was hard-pressed to leave my ponderings at that.

This very question has lingered in my mind through every activity I've engaged in today from the moments spent with my spouse to the moments spent working as a freelance writer.

It had me thinking on what I want to be remembered as in each of those areas.

And to tell you the truth, it's the best thing I've done for myself in... as far as I can remember.

This simple question has put every aspect of my life into a whole new perspective for me. One that hopefully, this is only the beginning of.

Now, I leave you with the same question.

Some areas you may want to ponder on are spiritual, business/career, love life, family, relationships, and even the emotional and physical aspects of your life. Try documenting, on paper, your findings as you think on these aspects and answer the question for each area. See what you come up with, and over time, you can add-to your "list," or change it all together as your life changes.

I truly believe this will be a life-changing exercise, especially if you can discipline yourself enough to really get in there and think about this topic more than just once. Perhaps once a week, every Sunday night, for example? This is likely the schedule I'll develop myself.

Don't forget to share your own "ponderin's" with me in the comments section. I'd love to know what you come up with.

Zen Organics Professional and Personal Massage and Moisturize

Zen Organics is a company that offers high quality, non toxic professional massage therapy products. Here I'll be mentioning my thoughts on the Dual-action Massage Creme for massage therapy and the Daily Moisturizer for skin therapy.

*DUAL ACTION MASSAGE CREME FOR MASSAGE THERAPY*

This rich and wonderful Dual Action Massage Creme is outstanding for professional or personal massages.  Zen Organics massage products are by far the best I have ever used.

Being a thick and rich cream, the last thing I really expected was for it to create a slippery surface for gliding your hands over the skin for a deep massage, but this really impressed me! This is the perfect alternative to greasy massage oils as the Dual Action Massage Creme (and all of Zen organic's products) are never greasy and never leave behind any kind of sticky or greasy residue and I'm a freak about lotions and the like leaving that sticky like feeling in between my fingers. It has a wonderful thick consistency without being too runny and not overly thick that it's hard to spread around.

I've found myself using the Zen Organics massage products every chance I get. The stuff is amazing! Like nothing I've ever used before. This unscented massage cream is absolutely amazing for moisturizing and is long lasting so no worries about it absorbing before your massaging session is done! A quarter size amount of the Dual Action Massage Creme will cover the entire back in most cases and will last throughout an entire massage. After several minutes I like to add a small dab more, but it's not really needed since it's so long lasting.

I've recieved and given massages with the Zen Organics Massage products and it's made both the experience of giving a massage and the experience of recieving one more than enjoyable!  I've never used another professional massage product that felt this wonderful.

After giving a massage and washing my hands, they'll still be extremely smooth hours later. For moisturizing the body such as legs, arms, etc. you can't get any better or longer lasting than this. I like it for just regular everyday moisturizing too and would even choose this over any of my other regular lotions.  This particular unscented massage creme is also nut-free and is recommended for full body and partial massage treatments. I've had many compliments when using Zen Organics for massages! I used it on my own skin before using on anybody else's and I noticed my skin taking a very youthful look to it, almost like a child's skin! My arms and legs have never looked so good! After massaging others with the same products I've had more than a couple of people tell me their skin looked "so young!" It's like a miracle and does wonders for severely dry skin and "alligator skin" or those little cracks you see in your skin sometimes. I've also heard one person say it heals their ashy skin better than Gold Bond. Lol. I totally agree!

  INGREDIENTS:
Purified Water, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower Seed Oil*), Isopropyl Palmitate (from Palm Kernel), Emulsifying Wax NF (from Corn), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil*), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter*), Macadamia Ternifolia (Macadamia Nut Oil*), Mixed Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Extract*, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract*, Camelia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract*, Bee Pollen Extract, Citrus Sinensis (Orange Flower) Extract*, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Extract*, Macrocystis Pyrifera (Sea Kelp*) Extract, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate (Vegetable Enzyme Preservative )*, Sorbic Acid (from Ash Tree), Citric Acid (from Citrus Fruit). *Organic, Certified Organic or Wild Crafted. No Artificial Color or Fragrance. No Animal Ingredients. No Animal Testing.

It's completely safe to use (unless you just so happen to be allergic to one of the ingredients listed) so I don't ever have to worry about massaging someone and having them break out in hives! Lol. Not a fun experience.

My partner was on the lucky end of recieving a massage from me and I used several of Zen Organics Massage products, but only one per massage so I could better tell what exactly each product would do. He sure loved it!

*UNSCENTED DAILY MOISTURIZER PERSONAL SKIN THERAPY*

The Daily Moisturizer is perfect for moisturizing any part of the body and is absolutely the only product I've found that will keep your skin from being dry and scaly for longer than overnight. I can still feel the silky-ness on my legs after a shower! It's also great for use after shaving as it does not irritate the skin after being shaved at all like most lotions do. It's soothing and leaves every part looking young, healthy and feeling like silk! I can't stop feeling of my legs after using this stuff. I used it overnight and it was still working perfectly by the next evening! This is some heavy-duty stuff. This moisturizer is wonderful for healing the skin from everyday damage. I even had a tiny bit left over on my hands and happened to be rubbing my lips which were chapped and had a couple of raw spots from nervous habits and I realized I must have gotten some on my lips since they were feeling super smooth and not cracked anymore! I'm not sure how safe that is, but I thought it was really neat that the stuff made such a difference in my sore lips just from rubbing them after I'd gotten a little on my hands.

As with all of the Zen Organics products I've used, this doesn't leave any kind of sticky or greasy residue behind and I doubt you'll find a product from Zen Organics that does leave residue behind. They're all outstanding.

INGREDIENTS:
ngredients: Purified Water, Cocos nucifera (Coconut Oil*), Glycerine, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower Seed*) Oil, Glycerol Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Stearyl Lactylate, Sodium PCA, Butyrospermum Parkii Seed (Shea*) Butter, Mangifera Indica Seed (Mango*) Butter, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile*) Extract, Sambucus Nigra (Elder Flower*) Extract, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender*) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary*) Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage*) Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme*) Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate (Vegetable Enzyme Preservative), Lauramidoyl Inulin, Carbomer, Citric Acid(from Citrus Fruit). *Organic, Certified Organic or Wild Crafted. No Artificial Color or Fragrance. No Animal Ingredients. No Animal Testing

I mentioned how wonderfully silky my skin is after using this, I assume this is because of the "unique texture" that exfoliates skin. How cool!

The Daily Moisturizer is infused with botanical and multi-vitamins and is toxin free.
