I'm feeling the need to share my hair experience that happened just a minute ago. Let me make this brief though, and let you know I'm sharing my experience with the Dark & Lovely 6 Week Anti-reversion Serum for those who happened to be interested in it and want an idea of how it works and if it's worth the money for what it will do for you.

I actually didn't go out and buy the Dark & Lovely serum, I got a sample in the mail and didn't plan to review it or anything, just use it and hope it's a bit helpful for my hard-to-manage-hair. But after using it several times, and then my really good experience just now, I couldn't help but share a little.

I have "caucasion" hair. Not african, but mine is what I'd say loose wavy and thick. Kinda crazy and all over the place. I flat iron (with a Chi because sadly, it's about the only iron that will flatten this mess of hair of mine). It isn't tight curly or kinky, but really hard to manage.

So my regular routine is to skip every other day of washing since my hair is damaged from ironing and bleaching.

Two days ago, I re-bleached my hair, which totally damages it because I have deep brunette and to lift it fully, I have to go to the extremes using professional bleach (cheaper than drugstore box dye) and I just mix my own formula by using a 30 volume creme developer and powder. It's necessary to leave this bleach in my hair to process for about 3-5 hours or else I don't get a proper lift, and my hair won't be turned the right color.

So there you go, my hair was super damaged since two days ago. I slathered conditoner all over, which I always have to do after bleaching. Hair falls out everywhere, breaks off and is even harder to manage/iron right after bleaching.

So today I washed my hair at 3PM, and just finished ironing (had to let it dry) 10 mins ago, so it's now about 6 PM.

While ironing, oh sweet damnit was it a pain! I couldn't seem to get my fingers or iron through my hair without it breaking and being crackly, if that makes sense. I've been doing this crazy bleach process for years and I believe this is the first time I've managed with so little damage. It's just what happens when you bleach your hair from such a deep brunette to platinum blonde.

Anyways, had trouble ironing -- needed a miracle. I remembered I still had some of that sample of Dark & Lovely, and I knew the last times I'd used it after showering, it made my hair marvelously easy to iron and so soft, silky and smooth. Really, I have never had any hair product do what this stuff does. Even when my hair wasn't as badly damaged as it is from the bleach right now, this stuff made it so easy and so beautiful!

I squirted a little more than a quarter size drop in my hands and rubbed it all through my hair -- even the roots, which is usually a big no-no because my hair gets oily so quickly. But I can rub a little of this serum on the roots without any oilyness. It's intensely conditioning without making my hair staticy, and that impressed me.

So I finished ironing my hair, and I took a second just now to take a photo of it, that's how impressed I am with this! Remember, this photo was taken minutes ago and I bleached the heck out of this hair two days ago. It looks pretty nice considering, huh?

So there ya go. Anybody curious about this stuff, this is how it worked for me. I can't say everyone will find it worth the price ($14 I think) but I'm sure you get plenty of serum. I only have the sample packet, like I said, and it's been a God-send. For those of you who have to bleach until your hair's dead like me, I highly, highly recommend using this right after washing the bleach and for a week at least afterward (after each wash, but before ironing). Really. I've used every single box-bleach you can find at Wal-Mart that comes with the conditioners, and I've used most of the intense conditioners/repair creams at my nearest professional beauty supply store, and never have any of those had the results that this does for my dry, damaged hair.

I notice my hands are left so dang smooth and silky. This isn't for your skin, but I even used some on my hands and cuticles before cutting them because it leaves them so soft, unlike any hand cream or lotion I have ever felt. If it were cheaper, I'd use it daily for lotion!

Even kinkier hair will notice a relief from the puff, it leaves hair really sleek, slightly shiny but not greasy and manageable. I love it. And I'm actually considering buying the full product, and I'm usually a cheapie, but I love how it done for my hair.

I said I'd keep this brief, so I'll leave you with that. However, if someone happens to have questions about it or wants to share how this worked for them, please feel free! I love hearing from you guys.
