Herbaria time again, ya'll! I know I promised to post on my experience with the Herbaria soaps sometime a couple weeks ago, when I posted all about the Herbaria deodorant (pictured at the left side in photo.) So, it did take me some time, but I'm here to share. If you read my deodorant post, you already know you're in for a raving.
I have been using these lovely, fantastic, 100% natural bar soaps from Herbaria. So far, I've used the Lavender Oatmeal bar and the Biotherapy Skincare bar. I've not yet used Tomato Surprise, but will soon.
The Lavender Oatmeal bar is nice, with an aroma of lavender and the Herbatherapy one is just as lovely and has a slightly different aroma, but both seem to say lavender to my nose.
You'll notice both have tiny little chunks or grains of oatmeal in them, especially the Lavender Oatmeal. This is good! It means gentle exfoliation as well as soothing, since if any of you had the chicken pox and took an oatmeal bath, you may remember how it helped relieve the soreness and itching? That's about how the oatmeal in this Lavender soap works.
All of Herbaria's soaps are super gentle and safe for all skin types. The Oatmeal Lavender is really great for sensitive skin though.
You may remember my discussing all about Herbaria as a company in my last post. I'll try to be a bit more brief here so not to give the same ol' info over again. However, I do want to share again what is so great about Herbaria.
-Herbaria Soaps are all hand made and 100% natural.
Another little something I noticed when comparing the Herbaria bars to other bar soaps in my shower is how big Herbaria soap bars are (4.5 oz each!) You don't have to worry about saving with these, they're large and will last for a very long time -- even longer than any other bar soap.
The biotherapy Skincare bar is great for your face and all of your skin. This one is highly recommended for troubled skin or skin with any kind of irritations such as breakouts, eczema, dryness. This is the soap to clear those things away! I've watched my broken out forehead turn smooth over the course of this last week. What I did was wash only with the Herbaria soap and afterwards, use a natural renewal serum to help dry the bumps out, and follow with a natural moisturizer. Today, before applying makeup I noticed that they were not even noticeable except one!
The Biotherapy Skincare bar also is fine for oily skin, which I have a combination of both oily and dry (super oily forehead!) and this does help with that! I've noticed far less oilyness on my oil-absorbing sheets!
This particular bar is made of an herbal blend that helps balance skin's oil production and promote healthy skin.
And for those like me with dry patches, Herbaria includes jojoba oil in the soap bar for natural moisturization.
Those who suffer from skin conditions like psoriasis have found this soap extremely helpful! My precious neice who's two had a case of eczema, and often when she's been away at her father's she comes back with a new little patch of irritation. I previously used fresh aloe straight from my plant and put in a blender to make it easier to soap her up with during baths, totally cleared the problem. But she tends to have freakish happenings where she comes back with a little patch rising up, so I'm absolutely going to use this on her, and I'm excited and relieved to have a soap that we can use and know she'll be 100% safe and healthy.
INGREDIENTS IN Biotherapy Skincare bar:
Saponified olive oil and/or rice bran oil, palm kernel oil and soy oil, glycerin, jojoba oil, lavender essential oil, oatmeal, palmarosa essential oil, patchouli essential oil, rose geranium essential oiltea tree essential oil, vetiver essential oil, nothing else.
This soap is the best natural soap I have laid my skin on! I've used tons of all-natural soaps, and yet none have had such fantastic and actually natural ingredients as Herbaria. Also, this stuff does well removing makeup.
Both soaps are super lathery and sudsy, which is even better than what I've experienced with drug store bars.
I'm going to move on to the Lavender Oatmeal bar now. Forgive me for being so sporadic and strange. I've got myself a killer migraine going on right now, so I'm trying to focus.
