Auromere -- Ayurvedic soap

Hello my lovely, health-conscious readers! I have something fabulous to share with you. The Auromere Sandalwood Tumeric with Neem soap. It is a soap, but not your typical soap, which is why I'm even writing about it -- there's a lot of very special things about the Sandalwood Tumeric Soap (with Neem).
I will be hosting a giveaway (only for US, sorry) with details/instructions at the end of this post!

First, let me share with you where it comes from and what it's all about

The Sandawood Tumeric soap comes from a lovely company called Auromere. Auromere carries all your personal care needs, but what makes the company so special and totally different from your typical personal care store is that Auromere carries pure, authentic body care products from the ancient land of India. Auromere uses high quality, natural and effective ingredients. But what's different about that is Auromere's careful selection of these ingredients. The most important thing is they're natural! However, the reason I'm so impresses with Auromere is because of their effective ingredients.

Instead of throwing in all kinds of parabens, glycerin and all that harmful stuff you'll find in every drugstore soap, Auromere's products are safe. And you can be sure you're getting a product that is effective for your needs. For instance, I was looking for a soap that's natural, without any harmful ingredients, safe to use all over without causing infections such as UTI's or yeast infections (which by the way, soaps containing glycerin and harmful ingredients are the number one cause of these infections ) something gentle on my skin and something with the right ingredients to help with my own skin issues -- which happens to be a combination of dryness all over my body except for the oily forehead of mine. I also needed something that would soothe and reduce breakouts.

Since Auromere's soaps contain wild-crafted herbs, each chosen for their own beneficial properties, I was absolutely sure the Sandalwood Tumeric with Neem soap would be perfect for me.

You can't find any of that at your local Wal-Mart. You won't find a safe, natural and effective soap there. You can only get so far with a product that doesn't contain truly effective and natural ingredients, but you'll never see drastic results without using something natural and containing helpful ingredients like herbs. This applies to everybody. While I personally am not sensitive really to any of the harmful ingredients you find in your typical drugstore soaps, I couldn't stand the thought each time I showered with the stuff, the thought of the ingredients I was scrubing with causing cancer, reproductive system issues, etc. I got to where I'd cringe using soaps that contributed such harm to my body.

Now, I want to share a little about the company. I know I tend to get lengthy when I'm really excited about something, but please bear with me because I do feel it's important to not leave out details that are important. You can always brief my post and bookmark it for later if you want to read on, but don't have the time.

About Auromere

As I said a minute ago, Auromere carries every personal care product needed. From herbal toothpastes (which I'm super excited to try!), soaps, massage oil, herbomineral mud bath (another one I'm going to have to try), shampoo, pre-shampoo conditioner, hand & body lotion, ayurvedic incense, aromatherapy incense, flowers and spice incense and neem balm.

I wasn't kidding when I said that Auromere carries every personal care item you'd need, huh? Now, I want to mention their herbomineral toothpaste, but I promise I'll keep it short.

Remember a while back when I done a post title "I officially quit toothpaste!" or something along those lines? If you guys read through, you'll know that back 2-3 months ago, I gave up toothpaste, and even gave you guys the reasons why along with plenty of information on what I've learned, the benefits of going non-toothpaste, etc. Load of info, right? Well, in case you're wondering, no, toothpaste of any kind has not seen the inside of my mouth since that very day! I began using other ways of cleaning -- better ways -- and am still trying to find what I like most. I mainly use soap (non glycerin!) but have been trying to find something else without such a harsh taste. I found one other natural soap without a bad taste at all, but to be honest, one reason why I really, really wanted Auromere's Sandalwood Tumeric With Neem soap is because it fits my skincare needs, but also because I had this tiny thought "wonder if this would be a nice alternative to the other soap I've been brushing with!"

First, let me say I am not suggesting or advising anyone else to experiment with putting soaps in their mouths. I know what is best for me, but I don't know how others react to certain things. I'll just say this: use your own wise judgement!

No, I have not brushed my teeth with the Sandalwood Tumeric Soap. However, I am considering it, but I also plan to purchase Auromere's Herbal toothpaste because it is healthy for your teeth, contains no deadly fluoride (yes, fluoride is deadly) and has herbs that are actually good for your mouth and can promote healthier teeth!

However, I won't get off topic. I've yet to try the toothpaste, but when I do, I will do a special post on it. For now, we're talking soap. But I did want to put that out there in case some of you who have been anxious to hear my results of using soap and if it helps with the teeth problems I was having. Those of you who are on the same journey and looking for a good tooth paste that's natural, no harmful ingredients and cheap -- Auromere has you covered! Yes, I said cheap! Their's is a very impressive price, nothing like what you see these other "natural" tooth "soaps" priced as -- which for your info, many of them actually contain harmful ingredients still! Auromere's seems like a wonderful choice and you won't pay $30 for it. Another thing I truly love about Auromere! That means people like me who like to try a variety of products, can do so without spending a huge chunk of our paycheck.

Now, let's talk more about Auromere and what the company is all about.

Auromere's soaps are rich in ayurvedic herbal extracts (hence the reason they're so effective) for all types of skin as well as special skin conditions! Auromere has a wide variety of soaps to choose from, each with a different combination of herbs/extracts for different skincare needs.

Some of Auromere's products are made in Pondicherry and Auroville, the international eco-city of human unity in South India.

Auromere is owned and operated by an Integral Yoga community and run by volunteers. 100% of profit goes to support non-profit projects in the US and India.

Auromere products are all cruelty-free, 100% biodegradable, all natural, earth-friendly, and of course, Ayurvedic -- all things we should be opting for when choosing our personal care products!

Auromere has their own Cruelty-Free Pledge, which even comes proudly stated on their brochure - pamphlet booklet thingy. Here's what it says:

" Auromere Ayurvedic Imports is committed to providing natural, vegetarian body care products that are not tested on animals and contains no animal by-products. We condemn the practice of unnenecessary cruelty to animals through drug and cosmetic testing. Over the years, the Auromere brand has carries the seal of approval from the Humane Society -- Beauty Without Cruelty, PETA and the Leaping Bunny logo of the CCIC."

Now tell me that ain't impressive?

What is Ayurveda?

Since I've mentioned the word quite a bit, I'll make clear why it's good, what it is. Ayurveda is always going to be your most effective choice in anything from soaps to ridding your home of fleas! Ayurveda is the ancient and holistic art nd science of India, which utilizes natural herbs, roots and  minerals to promote optimum well-being and harmony of the person in balance with nature and environment. According to legends, over 3,000 years ago, Nature revealed to the great sage Dhanwantari, as he sat in a profound meditation in a forest, the beneficial properties of tress, herbs, plants, roots and flowers. Not only were the ancient Rishis of the past sages of spiritual truth, but through their mystic vision, they gained knowledge of the human system and maintenance of body's natural state of well- being in total harmony with nature. Thus the application of wisdom was developed into a perfect science which has survived throughout the ages as Ayurveda -- the "science of life." For more info on Ayurveda and how to determine your "Dosha" or bodily constitution, visit Auromere's website here

*This information above from Auromere*

Whether or not you believe in the legend of Ayurveda, the truly important part of using Ayurveda when it comes to your personal care products is what matters most to me. I've found that when going this route -- natural, herbal, Ayurveda in both personal care and medicinal uses, it's always far cheaper and far more effective than your non-natural, harmful and expensive options. For instance, remember my issues with endometriosis and IBS? I've shared with you guys countless times my "remedies" for treating this as well as tons of other problems. I still use those methods for my health, and you've read what my results have been! So it's natural that I'd want to stick to this route in other areas such as bathing too, right?

About the Sandalwood Tumeric With Neem Soap

As shown in the photos, the soap comes wrapped and with a lovely, informative pamphlet full of interesting information about the soaps.

The soap I am currently using from Auromere is the Sandalwood Tumeric with Neem. I'll share what's so great about it.

Neem is a valued plant that's been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years. You've probably seen neem oil or neem bark, extracts sold at your local herb store. The entire neem plant is used for different things. I've really not had the opportunity to use any neem products until now. Neem products use different parts of the neem plant from the bark, roots, to the seeds.

Apparently this is one of those plants that is totally useful, all its parts and there are over 100 uses for neem. It was most commonly used for ailments of the skin such as inflammation, fevers, dental care (remember when I mentioned having the desire to use this soap to brush my teeth? One reason was because I recalled hearing someone say they'd been using neem (the bark, I think) on their teeth daily with great benefits). It's also used to treat scalp conditions, lower blood sugar, it's used as an antibacterial agent and to promote wound healing. Research confirms many of the traditional benefits of neem and explores new ones. Recent studies have shown neem to have analgesic and anti-fungal properties.

*This information was also provided from Auromere. What? And you were thinking I was just this knowledgable? Darn! This is actually information I've learned by reading Auromere's booklet included with the soap, and it's also available on their website if you guys are interested in learning even more.*

The price of the soaps (and everything else) at Auromere made me one happy girl! I really can say for this company, their products are priced more than fairly for the quality. You don't even find the harmful soap bars for this nice of a price! So really, there's nothing to hold you back from having the luxury of healthy, beneficial and natural products.

The Sandalwood with Neem soap is good for all skin types, but especially recommended for blemished or oily skin, which is exactly what I have at the moment.

The bars of soap from Auromere come in either 2.75 oz or 0.71 oz samples! This means if you're unsure about a particular soap or you want to try more than one without fully committing yet, or you're travelling, you have the option of the cutest little baby bar! Let me just tell you. When I got my bar of soap from Auromere, I slid it out of the package, the large bar and only when I went to toss the packaging did the small baby bar fall out! I thought it was the cutest thing ever. I said "Oh my! Look it's a baby one too!" Sorry, but it really is cute. I like that you have two size options to choose from though. You could even buy a stash of the different varieties in baby bars and throw together a lovely gift set for someone. Maybe I've got birthdays and Christmas on the mind too much, but that's exactly what I thought of when I was admiring the baby bar. It would be a very affordable, nice gift for someone, and who doesn't need/use soap? Only giving them something beneficial and natural is even kinder than giving them some harmful soap basket from Wal-Mart. Just my thoughts.

  Back to the Sandalwood Neem...

Obviously, this soap contains Sandalwood and neem. Reading the back of the soap's container:

"For countless generations in India, a simple blend of Sandalwood and Turmeric has been applied to the facial skin to form a paste to preserve youth, beauty and a flawless complexion. Auromere's Sandalwood Turmeric formula combines the naturally astringent, purifying and cooling properties of Sandalwood with the complementary cleaning, softening and toning properties of turmeric and 22 other Ayurvedic oils and herbal extracts used traditionally for optimum care, nourishment, and preservation of skin including Neem. The cold-pressed coconut oil base provides a rich, creamy lather that gently conditions while cleansing, leaving the skin soft and fresh."

So you can certainly expect a clean, moisturized, softened and soothed face and or body after using this soap. It is creamy -- that was the first thing that came to mind when using it.

This particular soap has a natural fragrance of Sandalwood. The aroma is a little strong, which is very nice since it's almost minty, which will leave a very... deodorized and fresh smelling body long after the shower has been left - per my own words.

Gotta give kudos to Auromere for listing ALL their ingredients on the packaging. You're never left in the dark.

 INGREDIENTS:

Coconut oil, Palmyra oil, Water, Alkali, Castor oil, Sesame oil, Hydnocarpus (Cactus) oil, Sandalwood oil, Neem oil, Rice Bran oil, Indian Beech oil, Indian Butter Tree (Madhuca indica) oil, Neem bark, Dhub grass (Cynodon dactylon), Indian Gooseberry (Amla), Turmeric, Peepal (Bodhi tree), Celastrus seed, Corallacarpus epigaeus, Nutgrass, Zedoary, Indian Madder root, Costus, Mung bean, and Fenugreek.

The shelf life of this soap is listed as indefinite. And just one bar seems like it could very well last a bit longer than store-bought non-natural soaps, which is usually the case with natural versions.

You really make it appear really easy together with your presentation but I
to find this topic to be actually one thing which I believe I'd by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very huge for me. I'm having a look ahead to your subsequent put up, I'll attempt to get the grasp of it!
