PASSION FRUIT & LIME BODY BUTTER
This is the Passion Fruit and Lime Body Butter from Natural Elements Online. I took a photo of the actual product so you can see how nice it looks. It's very hard to describe, but dipping my fingers in it feels something like ice cream with the consistency of cream cheese. It's a very light, but rich butter.
Out of all the Body Butters I've used this one certainly has to be the most unique. My experiences with most body butters haven't been anything special. I find that most of them are no different from a runny lotion or they're thicker and feel more like canola oil. I've yet to find a body butter that actually deeply moisturized the skin until I used the Passion Fruit and Lime! This stuff is super neat. I love the way it feels on.
It's far more moisturizing than a regular lotion. It seems to penetrate the skin more than a lotion does. And major kudos to Island Essence for no left behind residue!
The scent is so refreshing and a bit energizing! It smells very nice unlike some of the cheaper drugstore brands that don't leave a nice scent on the skin. This blends well and while it does smell, it's not "perfumey" or overpowering. I'm able to get light whiffs here and there when I use it.
It has a beautiful light citrus-y scent with sweet fruity tones. When I stick my nose to the tub and sniff hard, I kind of detect a very light scent of powder as well. It's a really beautiful smell. Perfect for someone who likes a light, tropical but not too coconut-y scent.
What does it do for the skin?
The body butter is a creamy moisturizer and is great for dry skin. I've got dry skin and in the winter time my legs will be very dry. This has been perfect for the scaly winter legs! The product's describes it as a body butter that "melts" into the skin. I couldn't agree more! It's amazing! It really does melt into the skin.
It has a bit of a cool feel to it when I dip my fingers in which is neat. You can add this wonderful butter to your bath! That is fantastic and leaves every part of your body silky and softer than ever.
I often talk about how irritating it is to me to have creams or lotions leave a residue that feels tacky, sticky or greasy between my fingers or on my skin. I've been known to get pretty ill about this, even as a kid. I just can't stand the feeling some products leave behind. Even if it's a light residue I'll wash it off immediately if it leaves any residue.
Like I said, the body butter leaves behind nothing but silky feeling and silky looking skin.
I wish I could describe just how soft and luxurious my skin feels after using this stuff. When I rub my fingers together, it feels similar to holding silk in between them and rubbing.
The Body Butter is soothing for irritation such as razor burn. Protects against cold and hot weather and I'll say, it was a God send tonight! We had a football game at 9PM for the 11 year old (A) and I was sure my entire body would be frozen to the bleachers and of course, chapped! I layered on the Body Butter and Island Essence's Zinc-Stick chapstick and I'm now safely at home and not a single patch of my skin is chapped! Now I know for sure this stuff's heavy duty protection.
What is my overall opinion in short?
Island Essence body butter is outstanding! I'd absolutely purchase again and again. I'd like to keep this stuff on hand at all times!
What do I love about Island Essence Body Butter?
- Paraben Free!
- Leaves my skin feeling just like silk.
- Great for wind chapped, sunburned and irritated skin. If applied before going out in harsh weather, it'll protect against chapping and such. It's soothing and penetrates for true moisturizing.
-No residue.
- "Melts" into the skin.
- Spreads easily to give a quick and even application all over.
-Can be used in the bath to make you feel like a super soft, creamy, human milk shake! (That's just my description for the creamy softness when using in the bath. Strange, I know.) It does feel amazing in a bath though!
- A very important thing to me is that the products I use are safe and have natural ingredients. I'm not strict about it and do use products with raunchy ingredients, but I love the good stuff and prefer it. I like using things with natural ingredients because those come with the most benefits for your skin and health. It's amazing to really do a test between products and find such drastic differences. This contains some amazing ingredients that work wonders for the skin!
- Long lasting.
- Absorbs quickly.
WOULD I RECOMMEND IT? In a heart beat! No body butter has amazed me like this stuff!

FROM THE ISLAND ESSENCE WEBSITE:
"SHEA BUTTER is one of the main ingredients in our smooth BODY BUTTERS. Also known as Karite Butter, it is extracted from the nut of the karite nut tree which grows in the semi-arid savannah regions or West and Central Africa.
Please note: If you are allergic to latex, you may be sensitive to shea butter and will want to do a small patch test before you slather shea butter all over. It is known for its excellent nourishing, rejuvenating and moisturizing benefits and is particularly well suited to damaged and dry skin. It also offers great protection from the elements by forming a protective barrier over the skin. It contains beneficial vegetable fats that promote cell regeneration and circulation. Shea Butter is naturally rich in Vitamins A, E, F and other essential vitamins needed for good skin balance. It has been known to soothe and heal skin irritations "
Shea Butter is sometimes called “womens gold” because extracting the butter from the nuts gives employment and income to hundreds of thousands of rural African village women.
MANGO & COCONUT SILKY SMOOTH LOTION
The Mango and Coconut Silky Smooth Lotion from Natural Elements Online comes in natural Mango & Coconut, Tropical Vanilla, Plumeria, Pikake Blossom, Gardenia and White Ginger.
Mango and Coconut lotion has a warm coconut scent with a light touch of mango. It's a soft, sweet scent that when blended with the skin, gives a comforting aroma all over.
The consistency is more along the lines of runny rather than thick which isn't bad, it's actually what I prefer since thicker lotions tend to leave extremely greasy residues behind. This stuff gives perfectly moisturized skin with a lovely scent.
The name "Silky Smooth Lotion" does fit! As soon as I start massaging it into my skin I feel the silkyness. It absorbs quickly while leaving nothing but a soft, lovely scented skin behind. It lasts much longer than other lotions which is one reason I've come to love it so much. That and the silky skin it gives me.
The closest thing I've came to having a lotion leave me silky was with VS Angels lotions. The Mango and Coconut does even better!
When I run my hands across my arms and legs, I don't feel that drag that lotions usually leave behind. Instead, my fingers glide perfectly over my skin. The lotion is hardly detectable on the skin after it absorbs. You're just left with super soft skin that feels natural.
The 8.5 oz bottle will last a long time since the lotion has a runny consistency, it spreads easily and evenly. A little bit goes a long way!
What do I love about the Mango & Coconut Lotion?
- It's a light, but deeply penetrating lotion that leaves no layer of residue on the skin.
- It smells beautiful and the scent is long lasting.
- The lotion is long lasting. It leaves my skin silky for hours.
- Paraben Free.
- Contains healing and soothing ingredients.
- Spreads easily.
- Absorbs within seconds.
What's not so perfect?
It's no huge deal, but the lotion does contain Phenoxyethanol and sodium hydroxide, ingredients that can be harmful when absorbed through skin.
Would I recommend it? Sure! It's an outstanding lotion and contains so many fantastic ingredients. It's hard to find good quality body products that don't contain a lot of harmful ingredients. Island Essence's products are carefully made and the ingredients used are great for the skin.
Ingredients:
Organic Aloe Vera, Purified Water, Safflower Oil, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearic Acid, Organic Sesame Oil, Extracts of Sea Kelp, Organic Evening Primrose, Noni, Organic Lavender, Awapuhi (Hawaiian Ginger), Organic Echinacea, Organic Cucumber, Organic Chamomile, Papaya and Organic Green Tea, Organic Avocado Oil, Glycerin, Grapeseed Oil, Sodium PCA, Organic Jojoba Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Macadamia Nut Oil, Lecithin, Sodium Hydroxide, Caprylyl Glycol, Vitamin C Palmitate, Phenoxyethanol, Kukui Nut Oil, Octinoxate, Oxybenzone, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E), Botanical Fragrance.
HAWAIIAN SUNRISE SHEA BUTTER BODY CREAM
As with most of the products from Natural Elements Online, Hawaiian Sunrise also contains Shea Butter (PS. that's a good thing.)
Hawaiian Sunrise smells a lot like it sounds. A beautiful. To me it smells like coconut with notes of pineapple, mango and light citrus, tropical scented body cream, this stuff leaves my skin ultra moisturized.
After applying Hawaiian Sunrise Body Cream to my hands, feet and legs, they feel like silk! I'm very impressed with Island Essence products. The really know how to turn a plain old lotion, body butter or chap stick into heavy duty products that make your skin look and be its best. They're all outstanding.
The 3 FL OZ bottle is long lasting. While the consistency is thick, but not greasy, I'm able to use a small amount and still cover my body evenly and quickly. As soon as it absorbs, my skin takes on a whole different look and feeling! It looks so smooth, young and glowy. The light glow it gives my legs make my tan look nice.
I love how rich and creamy Hawaiian Sunrise is. It's perfect for dry cracked skin. It's an extreme penetrating moisturizer for all of the body, including feet! It's the best for dry, cracked feet and unlike most lotions specifically for cracked heels, this stuff leaves no greasy residue!
What do I love about Hawaiian Sunrise?
- Enriched with Shea Butter, Aloe Vera and Mango Butter! I'm a huge sucker for aloe.
- Rather than just leaving a soft layer on top of skin it penetrates deeply and with prolonged use, it repairs cracked, dry skin. (My own conclusion)
- The scent is so relaxing and pretty!
- Very long lasting.
- No residue left behind.
- Creamy, rich, thick, slightly slippery consistency makes it perfect for a back or foot massage!
- Absorbs quickly.
- Again, I love the wonderful ingredients in this! They have such wonderful healing and repairing effects for the skin with repeated use.
My quick opinion: I've never felt such silky, velvety skin in my life! A high quality, highly moisturizing and repairing body cream.
Would I recommend it? Definitely and especially for super dry, cracked skin and for the feet! I like this as a foot & back massage cream too.
HAWAIIAN ROSE MIST COLOGNE
The Hawaiian Rose Cologne smells exactly like full bushes of roses. It's a very pretty, feminine scent. The 2 FL OZ bottle will last a super long time. One spray gives you a light rose-y scent all over while 2 sprays will allow others to get light whiffs of you when close. 3 and more and I find it to be too much for my sensitive nose. I get migraines and have an unfortunately sensitive nose, but I didn't find 1-2 sprays over powering at all.
I like that the Hawaiian Rose spray can be sprayed a few times for those who prefer strong perfume or only 1-2 times for those like me who like to get whiffs of it now and then.
When sniffing, I really only detect a rose scent not unlike most rose scented products on the market. It's pretty. When sniffing the bottle I detect a hint of alcohol, but it's not detectable on the skin. When blended with my own skin, it has a powdery dry down. I think it's a perfume that would do well with most skin. If you like the rose scents this is sure to please!
ZINC-STICK
Upon first glance at the Zinc Stick you kind of just think regular ol' chapstick, but this little poweful stick is far more than a regular chapstick. I'm not a huge chapstick fan. It's just chapstick to me. I am a very big fan of lip gloss and I do use chapstick some, but prefer gloss. I keep it on all hours of the day. I must admit, I'm impressed with the Zinc Stick.
What does it do? Well, it's a lot like chapstick, but it protects your lips in extreme weather conditions. If you've read through the entire reviews on this post, you remember me mentioning our long night of freezing while (A) the 11 year old had a football game tonight. (Which by the way, he won and will be going on to the championships!) Anyways, it was freezing! I shivered and shook so badly that I had a mini anxiety attack! If ever there was a time to get wind chapped, tonight would've been it. But I had my trusty old Zinc Stick and the Passionfruit and Lime body butter to keep me safe.
I applied the Zinc Stick tonight before leaving and it kept my lips from getting even slightly cracked throughout the entire game! I also used it and the body butter yesterday while we stood outside for A's football practice then took all the kids trick or treating. So that makes yesterday afternoon until 10PM lastnight and 9PM tonight until 10PM tonight that I was out in the freezing cold and am still without dry, cracked skin and lips!
I also have this horrible habit of picking the skin off of my lips! Yikes! It leaves me with nasty spots. When they get chapped I hate the peeling so I pick it. Since I've used the Zinc Stick there's been no cracked skin to pick! Lol. Works like a dream. My partner says he's going to buy the stuff for the rest of my life so I won't pick at my lips. It's a strange habit I picked up from my Mom. Thanks mom! Lol.
I tan a lot too and slather on tons of lip gloss before doing so to keep them from getting burned. Let me tell ya, lip burns are really unpleasant! I make sure to smear the chapstick or lip gloss all around my lips to keep them from burning around them as well. The Zinc Stick is perfect for being in harsh weather.
Anyways, thanks to the outstanding products, my lips, legs, arms and feet are looking stunning!
The Zinc Stick goes on clear like any chapstick it can be used by both men, women, children. The Zinc Stick helps prevent sunburns and wind chapped lips. It keeps them super moisturized and will heal already cracked, burned or chapped lips quickly. It softens them like nothing I've ever used before too!
Wou*ld I recommend it? Yes, for everyone! It's wonderful stuff and sure beats wearing sunscreen on your lips! ha. Ha.
PS. Dabbing a tiny bit on your finger then applying above eyebrows (DO NOT get in the eyes though!) is a great idea if you're planning to lay in the tanning bed or be in the sun. I do this when tanning since that area always burns easier on me.
