  Above are my before and after photos. That first photo is pretty rough, huh? Lol. The photo on the left is my hair after washing with regular shampoo and before straightening or doing anything to it. This is how it looks when it dries! Terrible! The photo on the right is of my hair after using Nu-Gro and yes, it's been straightened. You can see the difference in the awful dry ends. Without using Nu-Gro my hair is like wire after straightening. You can see how much softer and healthier it is in the after photo. Major difference!

By looking at the after photo, you'd think I went through some serious time and work to get my hair like that. The only I used before taking that photo was Nu-Gro's shampoo the night before and a dot of regular shapoo in my bangs to help with oilyness that gets left behind. Then I let it air dry as always and straightened. No hair spray or any other product at all!

  I'll discuss my specific hair problems so we get a better idea of what this shampoo is doing for my locks. I straighten my hair for at least 30 minutes daily. I wash every other day and after it has been washed it takes a good 45 minutes to fully straighten. I have not ever skipped a day of straightening my hair in 5 years unless I was sick. A few months ago I was desperate for a trim and could not wait so I had a new stylist trim at the last minute and for some stupid reason she thinned my hair. :( So I'm really desperate for thicker and healthier hair. I should also mention that I bleach my hair every 2-3 months. So yea, my hair is usually screaming for help! Lol.

Here's where Nu-Gro comes in. This 16 oz bottle of green-ish colored liquid contains all the ingredients (natural) that work wonders for hair. It does not lather. It's more like a runny liquid. The first time I used the shampoo, I did have to wash it again twice with my regular shampoo to get the greasy residue out. I must have used too much that time because now I've only had to wash with regular shampoo once after massaging the Nu-Gro into my scalp. Massaging can help the product to penetrate and give you best results. Massaging when you wash is supposed to help hair growth anyways.

Even after the first use, my hair was like silk. Seriously. I haven't ever felt my hair so soft and silky. I don't use conditioner unless it's really fried and desperate because it tends to only give me static hair. I hate that.

I've now been using Nu-Gro Sulfate Free Shampoo for a couple of weeks now and my hair feels totally different. When I run my fingers through it, it feels like silk! My hair has never felt like that. It looks different to and after using the shampoo, styling and straightening is a totally different experience. It's much healthier.

The ends of my bangs usually won't lay flat. They stick out and poke out all over the place since they're dead, damaged and it doesn't help that it's a thick mess of hair that was cut into bangs when it shouldn't have been. Usually I go over that area many time with my flat iron to get it to lie flat. I've noticed it being much easier to style and that area doesn't look fried and poke out everywhere. My hair is so smooth and easy to handle. I've been able to straighten in a shorter time and go! It's been amazing and has saved me so much time. I can see my hair changing every single day.

Since it has only been a couple of weeks, I can't really say how thick you can expect your hair to get, but I will update on that info in a couple of months. What I did want to say about the thickness is I have noticed a wonderful difference! I love my little poof at the crown and my regular hair stylist usually cuts me a nice layer to poof, but when I got a trim from a different stylist she didn't cut me a poof. My point is, I've been able to kind of fluff the top layer with my hands and give it a nice poof without it looking like a disasterous mess. My hair is no longer my enemy!

With the results I have noticed in this short amount of time I am certainly impressed and can't wait to see how my hair is in a few more months. I will definitely continue using this stuff. It just wouldn't feel right to keep using the regular shampoos that leave my hair kind of stiff and contain harmful ingredients.
